Still a lot of different side quests / missions to keep you occupied within the city when you are not doing the campaign or just want a break from it like for example if you take out what is called the D.U.P Mobile Command spread across the city you will
get new side missions, blast shards show up on the map and you get new respawn points.

As you'll see in the gameplay below, a lot of the
mission - to -
mission focus is still liberating various outposts to unlock
new main and
side missions, but
getting between those outposts has never been more fun.
Side -
missions can also be embarked upon that lead you to
new dungeons, but never really manage to break away from the typical formula of «go here and kill some things so you can
get a thing,» often for a slightly lackluster reward.
Core gameplay lasted only about 10 hours without the
side missions, but now we can
get excited for an all
new full length campaign beyond that where Riddick must take on the merc - ship Dark Athena and her merciless crew after his prison escape.
Enemies feel a little overpowered in the beginning of the game, but perhaps this is to
get you to explore the city and take on some of the many
side missions and jobs offered to you in order to level up and acquire
new abilities.
Additionally,
new side missions called Distress Calls have been added that have Frank rescuing survivors and then leading them to safety while
getting away from a group of zombies.
You
get enough bang for your buck in an adventure that's worth playing twice and if you can overlook the tame
side missions that, for the most part, lack serious imagination, then you'll have a hell of a lot of fun in
New Marais.
You can choose to take on
side missions if you choose, but other than unlocking
new gear, you don't really
get anything out of doing that.
It's not 100 % clear how to
get to the final credits in the excellent
new PS4 game God of War, and you may think that you'll have to finish all of the
side missions first, but that is in fact not the case.
Although the added
side missions, where
side characters
get their own playable little stories, a whole
new prologue and other
side content of the eX + version, definitely are big improvement over the base version.
However, if you are
new to the series and you love stealth games there are things in Thief that is really good and probably will give you hours of entertainment, but I would think that these hours would actually come from the
side missions and when you roam freely in the city without a certain spot you need to reach as the map will probably slowly but surely
get you lost.
Once you reach level 20 by completing the campaign and some adventures you will have the freedom to patrol the
new planets and do activities and
side missions to
get new gear.
Get to the
new safe house and then work backward to the other
side missions.
They
got the Arkham City map and polished it with brand
new rooftops, real time
side missions, and loads of thugs swarming for your head (believing that the 50 Million bounty will be theirs, LOL!).
