But throughout our years of marketing, I've
gotten several e-mails from customers
on our
mailing list who live outside the US and don't know how to access our books.
A
mailing list is
not only an excellent and strategic book marketing tool, but it's a way to directly communication to your market, it's a one -
on - one way to
get in front of your audience without having to worry about what Facebook is doing or if someone has seen your feed.
Though we do
not work for MailChimp or
get any affiliate funds from them, a LOT of our authors use MailChimp as their main
mailing list service... and this question has come up enough for us to include it
on our FAQs page.

I can imagine that it is frustrating to have passive consumers, but a quick — «hey, I have to pay to keep you

mailing list, so if you don't really need to hear from me, then unsubscribe» would have probably worked fine to encourage people to take action or
get off the
list.
I'm
not quite sure how it happened, but this response was more prevalent among those who've been
on the
mailing list for more than a year, which means that you never went through the initial set of emails that everyone
gets now that introduce them to what we do as a company.
Though I'm a member of the DC Bar, with my current address information

not be realistic and will follow up
on entire
list.
Flips are tough in the areas i've been looking because it's super competitive and my direct
mail pieces didn't result in any flips (
got a good
listing or two so still made some ROI
on the mailers).
