this window has just finished i am already thinking about who we will
get for the january window we might try for khedira
on a really low offer as he is free agent almost would help boost numbers
in midfield
in the new year as we will no doubt need to filling the numbers about then also i will hold my
hands up and say i was wrong this morning for giving wenger stick and saying welbeck is rubbish i have been out
in the cold light of day and had a chance to reevaluate the situation and realized that this could be a canny shrew transfer
on wenger behalf actually if wenger can turn the clock back and work his magic
on welbeck and
get him scoring goals and improve his
game then we could have a great underrated signing
on our
hands its wengers absolute trust
in him that might be what makes him a great player as this is something that he never had at old mordor if anybody can make him a world beater wenger can he loves this little pet projects improving players against the odds welbeck has the skillset to be high class player upfornt he just needs to work very hard
on his finishing i think once he
gets a few goals under his belt he will settle
in fine and he is a team player you could put him
on the left against man city to shore up that side and he will put
in a great shift without a complaint that could be his biggest asset to us or
on the right whenever we need him there ithinkwenger might start himon the left against city to protect the left back against navas and i bet you if he does a great job we will take a shine to him quickly i am hopeing he will be one of those wenger gems that he finds and polishes up to a high finish i must admit i was annoyed as some other gunners were at not signing d / m and c / h but if wenger does win the league with this lot it will be his greatest win yet and what might play
in to our
hands is the unpredictable nature of the league
in the last few seasons if we
get on a good run at the right time we might be hard to stop look at city they should have never lost to stoke but the result is there
in black and white for all to see and i think chelsea will hit the skids after a while to just because cesc and costa are doing well now thats there main threat but teams will work out how to stop them as the season goes
on and chelsea will become predictable i think we might just do well this season after all
On Wednesday, when the Gunners face Chelsea at the Emirates we will have another ref from Manchester
in Anthony Taylor, who is thought to be a much more even -
handed and careful whistle - blower, and we can happily say that Taylor has only been
in charge of one Arsenal
game this season
in which we easily beat Bournemouth 3 - 0 and we
got through the whole 90 minutes without sustaining even one yellow card.
I also went
on to say that even with the players we've
got, even a a manager such as Pardew for example would rub his
hands together if he was
in charge of the talent that we have at Arsenal as he knows that with his mindset
on how the
game should be played i.e functionality over flair, even he could make the players and team much more formidable.

who looks to be the main target, is that he plays

on Guidetti (who, by the way, looks awesome, but is contracted to Man City) scoring to
get them out of trouble... my granny could do his job.
Time for some brutal honesty... this team, as it stands, is
in no better position to compete next season than they were 12 months ago, minus the fact that some fans have been easily snowed by the acquisition of Lacazette, the free transfer LB and the release of Sanogo... if you look at the facts carefully you will see a team that still has far more questions than answers... to better show what I mean by this statement I will briefly discuss the current state of affairs
on a position - by - position basis...
in goal we have 4 potential candidates, but
in reality we have only 1 option with any real future and somehow he's the only one we have actively tried to
get rid of for years because he and his father were a little too involved
on social media and he
got caught smoking (funny how people still defend Wiltshire under the same and far worse circumstances)... you would think we would want to keep any goaltender that Juventus had interest
in, as they seem to have a pretty good history when it comes to that position... as far as the defenders
on our current roster there are only a few individuals whom have the skill and / or youth worthy of our time and / or investment, as such we should
get rid of anyone who doesn't meet those simple requirements, which means we should
get rid of DeBouchy, Gibbs, Gabriel, Mertz and loan out Chambers to see if last seasons foray with Middlesborough was an anomaly or a prediction of things to come... some fans have lamented wildly about the return of Mertz to the starting lineup due to his FA Cup performance but these sort of pie
in the sky meanderings are indicative of what's wrong with this club and it's wishy - washy fan - base...
in addition to these moves the club should aggressively pursue the acquisition of dominant and mobile CB to stabilize an all too fragile defensive group that has self - destructed
on numerous occasions over the past 5 seasons... moving forward and building
on our need to re-establish our once dominant presence throughout the middle of the park we need to target a CDM then do whatever it takes to
get that player into the fold without any of the usual nickel and diming we have become famous for (this kind of ruthless haggling has cost us numerous special players and certainly can't help make the player
in question feel good about the way their future potential employer feels about them)...
in order for us to become dominant again we need to be strong up the middle again from Goalkeeper to CB to DM to ACM to striker, like we did
in our most glorious years before and during Wenger's reign... with this
in mind, if we want Ozil to be that dominant attacking midfielder we can't keep leaving him exposed to constant ridicule about his lack of defensive prowess and provide him with the proper players
in the final third... he was never a good defensive player
in Real or with the German National squad and they certainly didn't suffer as a result of his presence
on the pitch... as for the rest of the midfield the blame falls squarely
in the
hands of Wenger and Gazidis, the fact that Ramsey, Ox, Sanchez and even Ozil were allowed to regularly start when none of the aforementioned had more than a year left under contract is criminal for a club of this size and financial might... the fact that we could find money for Walcott and Xhaka, who weren't even guaranteed starters, means that our whole business model needs a complete overhaul... for me it's time to
get rid of some serious deadweight, even if it means selling them below what you believe their market value is just to simply right this ship and change the stagnant culture that currently exists... this means saying goodbye to Wiltshire, Elneny, Carzola, Walcott and Ramsey... everyone, minus Elneny, have spent just as much time
on the training table as
on the field of play, which would be manageable if they weren't so inconsistent from a performance standpoint (excluding Carzola, who is like the recent version of Rosicky — too bad, both will be deeply missed)...
in their places we need to bring
in some proven performers with no history of injuries... up front, although I do like the possibilities that a player like Lacazette presents, the fact that we had to wait so many years to acquire some true quality at the striker position falls once again squarely at the feet of Wenger... this issue highlights the ultimate scam being perpetrated by this club since the arrival of Kroenke: pretend your a small market club when it comes to making purchases but milk your fans like a big market club when it comes to ticket prices and merchandising... I believe the reason why Wenger hasn't pursued someone of Henry's quality, minus a fairly inexpensive RVP, was that he knew that they would demand players of a similar ilk to be brought
on board and that wasn't possible when the business model was that of a «selling» club... does it really make sense that we could only make a cheeky bid for Suarez, or that we couldn't
get Higuain over the line when he was being offered up for half the price he eventually went to Juve for, or that we've only paid any interest to strikers who were clearly not going to press their current teams to let them go to Arsenal like Benzema or Cavani... just part of the facade that finally came crashing down when Sanchez finally called their bluff... the fact remains that no one wants to win more than Sanchez, including Wenger, and although I don't agree with everything that he has done off the field, I would much rather have Alexis front and center than a manager who has clearly bought into the Kroenke model
in large part due to the fact that his enormous ego suggests that only he could accomplish great things without breaking the bank... unfortunately that isn't possible anymore as the
game has changed quite dramatically
in the last 15 years, which has left a largely complacent and complicit Wenger
on the outside looking
in... so don't blame those players who demanded more and were left wanting... don't blame those fans who have tried desperately to raise awareness for several years when cracks began to appear... place the blame at the feet of those who were well aware all along of the potential pitfalls of just such a plan but continued to follow it even when it was no longer a financial necessity, like it ever really was...
We should
get back to our pressing
game this will shrink the spaces the opponents can use and play into our
hands of using our speed
on counter attacks when we win the ball back
in our own half.
Think if everyone was fit chambers might have been given a few
games as dm by now its only cos we are short
on numbers
in defense that has forced wengers
hand into leaving him where he is but think its only a matter of time before we see him
get a opportunity to play there!
I think avoiding them until the final would be best as we'd have a better chance
in a one off
game rather than 2 legs
in my opinion, but
on the other
hand getting them now will show what Wenger is made off and could force his departure if we capitulate
in the last meaningful tournament for us this year.
After this weekend's
games, which saw Liverpool, Tottenham and Man United all win, we are now ten points of the Top Four and our
game in hand will be against today's victors Man City
on Thursday, which nobody can seriously believe we have any chance of even
getting our pride back by beating the side that has only lost one League
game all season.
never waste CAPITAL LETTERS
on an article about Chambers at this juncture... I still can't believe that no one from management has ever explained why such a frugal club spent so much money
on him
in the first place... we haggle for months and years with clubs for players who could have a monumental impact
on the very future of our club but somehow we found $ 16 million for someone who couldn't regularly crack a Southampton lineup (very fishy)... don't
get me wrong, I like what he showed at times last season
in Middlesbourogh but from the handful of
games I watched him play I still have some serious questions about his consistency as a back - line player
in the EPL; as such he should prove himself
on loan for another season, making sure that he goes to a team that wants him
in the starting 11... bottom line, let's not
get bogged down with the semantics of peripheral players and focus
on the real task at
hand = figure out who the hell is going to be our starting 11 for the foreseeable future, which means
getting contracts signed,
getting rid of a lot of deadwood and bringing
in talented players into the positions which truly need upgrading... the rest is just unnecessary noise
«I'd listened to the coaching staff saying
in the meetings, «We need to gain 100 yards

Of course we know that Pierre - Emerick Aubameyang will
get a rest as he is cup - tied
in the Europa League, Arsenal face a tough away
game against an
in form Newcastle United
on Sunday and to add to the problems we have been
handed the early kick - off, so you can see why the Frenchman might want to rest a key player or two.
The gap with Chelsea is 9 - 12 points depending
on their
game in hand, let's face it... we can close
in a
get the second spot but the title is gone.
11 is anymore or who will turn up
on the day... It's though to see that as a winning formula... Wenger, a bit like van gahl, has had the team playing with
hand brake
on... Needs to ratchet up energy levels and
get a more aggressive and forward looking
game going starting tomorrow or this will be all over by early march at home and
in Europe... Drop Ramsey Walcott and giroud for starters... If mert plays tomorrow I know wenger has settled for 4 th
This is a decent article, yet the negatives from fans are still there, I would love to see arsenal like I did at the end of the 90's and at the beggining of the 2nd millennium but it doesn't mean
in order to do so I would buy all the best players
in world, I would
get a rich owner to put his filthy money
in, change the manager every 2 years to do so, there's so much wrong
in football nowadays that yes it's still a sport but there's more focus
on the filthy amounts of money being spent
on clubs and players that I think attracts more attention than the
game itself, now that is wrong and it's very wrong, even our owner though not like the arabs or Russians, yet the yank is clueless about the tradition of our
game, it's just sad, so the fact that Wenger has remained for this long through all these changes that have occurred whilst the money
game has elvolved, it makes me happy that arsenal do not spend stupid amounts of money
on players, we don't try and buy the league, hell we even tight with wages and transfer fees, I'm glad it's like that, though our season ticket is a rip off I still don't mind it because at least we are not like the other supreme teams, there's a bit of tradition left at our club, yet you go to man shitty or Chelski, there is no tradition, it's all about buying ur way all the way to the top,
on the other
hand spuds don't know what to make of them besides how the heck have they finished above us?
Usmanov,
on the other
hand, I
get a feeling he is the type that will perch
in his office recliner & shut off phone calls for 2 hours to watch a
game.
To be fair it he has brought this
on himself... for years we have said it
in a calm manner buy and build... last 2 years we have
got 3 quality
game changers (Sanchez, Ozil, Cech) but we needed more... We have had chances to sign good young players for a good price (Dybala # 25 million... Kondogbia # 23 million) he has let them slip through his
hands... Summer we asked for a striker and keeper and DM, he only
got a keeper..
i think we will make fourth spot this season if we
get to keep Sanchez that is if Sanchez starts to play like he did yesterday, i think because lack of squad depth the likes of Spuds, Liverpool and possibly Chelsea will start to drop points
in Feb by losing first team players to injury after busy Christmas scheduled and busy CL scheduled, we
on the other
hand should be topping the group
on Thursday night football playing with mixture of youth and bench players hopefully leaving our first team rested and fit, February we have three big
games Everton home, Spuds away and City home, hopefully we do well
