I started my (fashion) blog in August 2012, after months
of brainstorming and years
of taking my own
outfit photos with my laptop to speed up the process
of getting ready each day.
I mean, sure, little Sally looks totally adorable in her paisley maxi dress that has been paired with the beautiful gladiator sandals, and little Timmy is just the cutest in his new digs, when moms are forever sharing
photos of their kids in amazing
outfits, it kind
of gets annoying (and you might find yourself gossiping with your friends about how much money she must be spending on her kids» clothing.)
Thankfully, I found that Oshkosh has a great selection in a wide range
of sizes so I was able to
get matching
outfits for my boys to wear for our family
photo and for the holidays too!
We
got to take
outfit photos of the booth.
I have way too many
photos from Japan to be able to stick them all into one
photo diary so I thought I'd split them up into different posts between
getting back into my usual routine
of outfit posts.
It was actually really windy when these
photos were taken, my hat
got blown out once So, what do you think
of my mint blazer and black flare pants in cotton sateen
outfit?
So, I'd love to be actually wearing this
outfit now instead
of the worn out khaki skirt you always see me in, so maybe between now and next Wednesday it will cool off and I can

photos in real fall clothes.

got a new point - and - shoot for my birthday, which is the camera I've been using for my

It felt good to take the limit off myself

get out and take

I took a little break last week after I
got back from Paris — the constant nagging in my head
of when to take
outfit photos and if my
outfit was even blog - worthy was just a big damper on the trip and it was boring me to death.
I know this is a stretch
of a topic for an
outfit post, but I was looking at these
photos and thinking about how cotton dresses
get wrinkly the minute you put them on, which,
of course, led me to think about my days as a professional ironing girl.
It has been a little while since I posted on here, after a little break for many reasons I have decided to
get back to it and start fresh with new content, a bit
of a personal twist to the blog, instead
of just adding
photos of various
outfits I would like to add...
I didn't
get chance to post my
outfit from the last challenge, but you can see a
photo of it in flat - lay form over on Jen's blog.
And I did
get quite a few stares when we took
photos of a summer
outfit just some days before Christmas because the light was perfect!
Another thing I never slowed down long enough to do was to
get photos of some
of my other
outfits while wearing them.
I definitely have
outfits that don't photograph well, mostly ones that I love but in
photos look far too boring to bother posting as sometimes the different textures
of my typically all - black ensembles
get lost on the
photos xxxxxxx p.s. I would absolutely love to be a pen pal, I've never actually had one except a german pen pal when I was 14 and my german was limited to say the least!
It's been awhile since we had a chance to go out and shoot
outfit photos (we have been so focused on our little baby, as he was a newborn he needed 100 %
of our time and energy and now, as he's bigger - he's now 4 months old, he cries less and it's just easier to
get things done!)

One could argue that some
of the people on the
photos are going out
of their way to
get noticed by wearing the most outrageous and non-real-life applicable
outfits, but we'll attempt to steer clear
of the overly busy and virtually unwearable looks and bring you only those that show that there are still fashionistas out there who can walk the fine line between traffic - stopping and relatable.
I wish there were better
photos of our
outfits but I didn't plan for the fact that with the very dark days we've been having, the light outside just isn't enough to
get good pictures.
Part
of doing
outfit photos sometimes is just finding the perfect location, freezing my bum off and rushing to
get the perfect shot so I can
get back indoors.
And, I have to mention — I posted the above
photo on Instagram and I
got a lot
of questions about my
outfit!
A lot
of changes have taken place in my life in the last few weeks and since they impact the blog, and since there are a lot
of family friends back home who read the blog and are interested in what's going on, I felt like I should give a little life update before I
get back into
outfit photos.
So, I apologize for the poor
photos but hopefully you can
get a sense
of the
outfits.
Well after I commented I
got the 3 - piece out
of its zipper bag (
photos to come) and realised that the skirt with black polo neck and knee boots makes a cute relaxed Christmas
outfit.
And even though he's gone and there will always be a hole in my heart where he lives, flipping through these
photos reminded me
of how much joy we'd
get out
of taking
outfit photos together.
It monsooned, so I didn't
get a chance to snap
outfit photos at the actual time
of the event.
I've just been enjoying lazing around but I've finally bothered to leave the comfort
of my Macbook,
get some
outfit photos done and return to the world
of cyber with a few
photos of my
outfit and a lot
of my back.
So this past
outfit shoot I decided to listen to the advice
of my friends and fellow bloggers and try some
photos without sunglasses... just me and the eyes to my sole haha... not really but you
get my point.
I sometimes have that habit
of posting
photos way later than I took them, but I think the great thing about
outfit posts is you can still
get inspiration from others».
Once we've
got your closet shipshape, I'll take
photos of outfits I've styled and create a personal wardrobe look book for you to refer to when your trusty stylist isn't around.
You can
get creative too by creating boards like «

photos of outfits that fit this description in that board.
These
outfit photos were actually taken back in October but I've been keeping busy and focusing on other aspects
of life, which I'll
get to more below.

get out in public, take your
outfit photos while doing an activity (even if it's just
getting coffee), and use words to tell the story
of your adventure.
Also, funny story, I
got about halfway through taking
photos of this
outfit and realized I still had my extremely ugly wrist brace / splint on (for my tendinitis).
The two
