Hi Ella Can you let me know where to
get psyllium husk powder??
Not exact matches
but all recipes in the booklet are with cow's milk and I don't know where to start nor what bacteria to add and where to
get them... I might enquire at the shop as I am going to buy the
psyllium husk powder to make for the first time your lovely looking bread, but I trust your food and health knowledge now so much.
I actually bought some
psyllium husk powder after I posted this but have still not tried it... guess I should
get on that, lol!
ALTERNATIVE TO
Psyllium Husk Powder: 1T soy Lechithin (
get at health food / organic markets), OR boil 1 / 4c of flaxseeds - raw - in 1c of water, and when it cooks, the gel on top of the water is egg - yolk consistency and is a substitute.
I like to add
psyllium husk powder to your cream cheese pancakes on occasion, to thicken them up, and
get things, ahem, moving along nicely.
Psyllium husk powder: 1 tablespoon a day mixed into water, for general gut health and to
get more fiber if your diet is lacking.
I can attest to the fiber / carbs thing — I've been using
psyllium husk powder on my husband for months now, trying to
get his BG numbers down, and it only seemed to make things worse.
Don't
get me wrong, diet is primary, but when you need a little help, try a teaspoon of
psyllium husk powder, stirred into a suitable liquid (I prefer apple juice or sugarcane juice.)
Typically I
get wary of the label «gluten - free» when it comes to breads and baked goods (you'd be shocked how often sugar is one of the first ingredients) but this gluten - free ciabatta includes healthier ingredients like
psyllium husk, buckwheat, millet, flaxseed, and egg white
powder.
