There are plenty of churnable cards out there right now, especially with Chase recently adding a 24 - month timeframe to
get their signup bonuses again.
If Jim were to get a Sapphire Preferred, he'd have to wait 2 years before he could
get the signup bonus again for * any * Sapphire card (Preferred or Reserve).
While prepping for a friend's latest round of credit card applications (app - o-rama), I wanted to include an Alaska Airlines credit card since they are churnable as you can
get the signup bonus again and again without any issue.

If you had the card without a
signup bonus, you should be able to
signup again within 24 months and
get the
bonus, provided you don't currently hold the card.

get an approval a second time, rewards cards with
signup bonuses you can earn

With the business cards you can receive the
bonus again as long as you have not held the card in the previous 12 months, and in many cases it is possible to
get the
signup bonus multiple times simultaneously with different business EINs.
Furthermore, it's possible to
get this card with the same
signup bonus all over
again, but amusingly enough, Barclays will not approve you if you leave your first card open.
