The game is, on the surface, an open - world urban adventure title that fits in pretty well alongside contemporary examples of the genre (GTA, Saints Row, etc); you've
got story missions that move the narrative forward and side missions that offer some sort of bonus to your stats or inventory, all conveniently labeled with radar blips on the maps of the sprawling cities you can explore.
Every hub you visit is boasting a lot of content as you not only
get the story missions but side missions.
As you progress through the story you quickly realize just how repetitive the missions are, and at some point you start to
get story missions that are locked behind a wall, meaning you have to free X amount of areas before you can progress with the main story.

mission becomes pointless.
It's clear right from the
get - go that director John Huston (who co-wrote the screenplay with Peter Viertel) isn't interested in presenting both sides of this

mission).

Reshaped by the director from a
story by stand - up comedian John Ridley, the film shifts into a more conventional «men on a
mission» structure near the film's final quarter when Barlow
