Even though it was only the first game of pre-season for Arsenal, with another game in Australia then two in China and then the Emirates Cup to go before the Community Shield the weekend before the Premier League kicks off, surely Arsene Wenger would want to make the most of this time and
get his best players fit and up to speed.

We should be in for the likes of Griezmann AND every other world class
player that
fits our method of playing, Ive said it time and time again our squad is only half world class the rest are mediocre at
best (yes I know Ill
get thumbed down ect by all the AKB's on site) but the results over the last ten years are proof alone that we are NOT
good enough to compete with the other Elite teams.
As for Giroud I hope what I'm hearing is not true. You
get the feeling that once Lacazette starts scoring he just won't like it.He's also another overrated
player who's also hear because of Wenger's kindness.Apart from the fact that he's
good with his head I don't see the positives of keeping here and even Welbeck. We need
players who can push Lacazette to perform and these are just not the
players.They are more of rotation
players.Do you think if Welbeck and Giroud were at top form they can challenge Laca at his best?I always laugh at our strikers though. On one hand, one doesn't
fit our style of play but at least he can finish. On the other hand, the one who
fits our style of play can't even score a goal.I can't believe we are joking with such a crucial role.I'm sick and tired of seeing average strikers in the club. It's been painful watching the likes of Bendtner and Chamakh already. Now I have to cope with this.
It was
fitting that Jack
got the goal because he was probably our
best player.
Hence we
get reports of our top
players wanting to leave, Alexis
fits well in to this category but also Ozil and Bellerin.
We have almost a
fit squad, we're able to introduce
players slowly, which means when we
get to the final stages of the season, we may have a
good number of
fit players.
His experience at such a young age and us having one of the
best playmakers in the game makes me think he'd be a perfect
fit, although I am worried it could take a season to adjust in which case I hope we can
get enough goals from other
players, maybe even play sanchez up top, if we don't win something this season
players will be leaving.
Alexis came with a
good spirit, seing Ozil on board, thinking a team would be built around them but year after year, it is no top class addition with a guessing game plan, weakness all over the pitch,
players out of position, a team scared to play and lost as manager... Sanchez then started to ask more money, we said no as to Ozil; waiting 6 month later to be on last year contract... The all management is nuts and Alexis or any
players try until they
get fed up, Ozil plays to
get fit for wrld cup and his value back...
With the number of games Arsenal have had so far, the
players have not been able to take many full training sessions, so the
best way to
get Ozil
fit and used to his new team mates was to play him and the wing is where you do the most running.
The only way to
get the
best out of Rambo is to sell him for anything above 20m but as I suspect no top team would b dumb enough to shelve that out keep him as a bench
player with elneny sell xhaka hope wilshere stays

Nelson will
get his chance in europa him and iwobi are quality

good youngsters!
If the
players are
fit, we are pretty
good but based on past records, our
players are hardly
fit... Injuries will always set in so lets work on that and
get a DM.
You are spot on on Perez being
better than ozil if he's given the chance, but neither of them are at wilshere's level when
fit Wilshere is aggressive, you can't
get the ball off him unless you foul him which gives us enough set pieces, he's a big game
player, watch our games against Bayern, barca, Chelsea, man city, man utd e.t.c when he plays, he creates more chances You just need to watch his games even at Bournemouth against Chelsea, which brings me back to the point that, no coach will ever play ozil while Wilshere is
fit except wenger............ Plus, ozil is a pu ** y or a weakling rather
It's difficult to blame Ozil for the difficulties he's faced at Arsenal without looking at the big picture... like the fans, he too was lied to by Wenger... there is no doubt in my mind that he was told by Wenger that he was trying desperately to recreate our earlier success by acquiring
players that
fit the system he ran when Henry was in his prime... as we know this hasn't happened... in order for Ozl to flourish he needs some speed up front, forwards that can make intelligent runs, a boss in the midfield to compensate for his obvious defensive liabilities and defenders who can transition from defence to offence quickly and efficiently... much like he had in Real and with the German National squad... unfortunately he ended up on a squad that has a striker who plays with his back to goal, very few intelligent runs into the box, minus Sanchez, no one to take pressure off him in the midfield, once Cazorla was injured, average defensive midfielders around him, which simply highlighted his lacking defensive qualities and defenders who lack the necessary cutting edge when it comes to transitional passing... instead of blaming Ozil, which is simply too easy, especially considering his mopey disposition, we should be asking ownership and / or Wenger why they brought him in if they didn't intend on doing what was necessary to
get the
best from him... can you imagine Ozil playing with the likes of Henry, Viera, Petit and Pires, it would be incredibly to watch and even more difficult to stop... so the only thing different between his experiences in Real and with the German team versus his time at Arsenal are the
players around him and we all know who is in charge of making those decisions, the Grinch who stole soccer
Whether you agree or not we must keep our
best players fit for what is our only hope of
getting something from what has proved to be a disastrous season.Play all the fringe
players and put in Eddie AMN and Reiss Nelson. At the end of the day what's the difference between Seventh and Sixth?
OT: My wishes: — Wenger to stop playing Mert ahead of Gab... this is a must — Wenger being ruthless and stop being stubbornness «big wish» — Wenger to change his transfer policy «big wish as
well» — Not count on very injury prone
players (Wilshere, Walcott, Ox, Welbeck), take them only as a bounce because they would never stay
fit... It is a dilemma because they are all quality home grown
players, so I can not say «
get rid of them all» — Give our smart attacking players (Sanchez, Cazorla, Ozil) what they need, a striker... that is a must — Strengthen the flank with another quality because all the sights now on Sanchez — Get rid of useless team players (Campbell, Flamini, yes they are useless) and replace them with better players (promote or buy good ones)-- Loan Chamber... 16M is too much to r

Ox doesn't
get to see the pitch when we have other
fit players, Ox being a CM
gets thrown out wide a lot as he isn't
good enough in the middle for Wenger yet.
Wilshere
getting injured isn't new just how after Wenger does not sign a capable CF for the 4th season in a row and we finish 4th this season you will see the SAME PEOPLE around this SAME TIME next year who said the squad was
good enough, you'll see there will be no injuries if everyone stays
fit so we don't need to sign
players or we don't really need any striker we have Giroud (a
player better than Rooney and Henry who it is very very very very HARD to find any
better player than him and whom some fans here will discount any other
player better than him to prove he is
good enough).
Its not often I read one of your comments Budd and nod my head in agreement but on this I have to say yu are 100 % on the money Afobe will MAYBE a to notch plyer one day but right now we didthe right thing letting him go, the only thing that I will say is that we have always let
players go when the world asked why and on hindsight have been proven right, HOWEVER why have we had
players like Diaby on the books when it was clear he would never ever be
fit enough to fulfil his potential and why on earth have we currently
got Sanogoals or Wellbeck on our books whe its obvious to all and their mothers that neither of these kids will ever be anything other than average squad
players at
best.
Dier is still an important squad
player for Spurs but, he arguably doesn't
get into Tottenham's
best XI when everybody is
fit.
2) No leaders across the pitch: Özil for all the money is no leader but a technically gifted
player who can split a defense with an exquisite vision and pass, Sanchez for all the dribbles as the potential but is not there yet, Cazorla will never be in the conversation, Mertesacker is not
fit to be one anymore, Coquelin for all the
good he has done is too tender and inexperience, Giroud no WC
player to assume the role... the only one who can seriously be a leader is Wilshere but unfortunately until he becomes consistent and set the tone with his talent and passion... 3) Mertesacker is a shell of himself and it would be an embarrassment to see him continue to play in his current form,
get Gabriel out just for the sake of showing anybody in this team that there's no place for under performers: we paid
good money to
get him so play him!
Cazorla has given us so many
good moments, I hope age doesn't
get to him as quickly as it can
get other
players, he can be such a joy to watch when fully
fit.
Call me optimistic but I believed the injury problem will
get better next year, the signing of the new American physio must be the second
best signing we made this season (behind Sanchez of course)-- our
players are
getting back from injury faster (Giroud),
fitter (Ozil), found root causes of recurrence problem (Ramsey)-- and even Diaby managed to spend some
good minutes on the pitch
We do need a few
players if we can
get reus, higuan, kondgdogbia, and if we can
get another centre back we are set and i think Wilshire, sanago, campbell should stay and sell rosiscky, Flamini, podolski, let go diaby, artetta oh remember i told u here that a
fit gnarby is going to be a fantastic
player he is gonna be
better than all our winger the kid has wonderful potential and determination and he will succeed
Besiktas is a real threat to us specially this early in the season with many
players not quite
fit, it is important that we don't let Besiktas score even if it means 0 - 0 score line in Turkey, i am sure once we
get them in Emirates we will do
well.
So now we have the majority of our
players fit and
well, do you STILL think Arsenal needs to buy in the summer (except to replace ageing stars) or have we now
got all the pieces in place to challenge for the title next season?
But while the National League side will come to north London on Saturday
well up for the fight, Arsenal could be
well off the pace and Arsene Wenger might even struggle to field 11
fit players if the report by Sky Sports about a sickness bug sweeping through our squad are true and if it
gets any worse.
Swear to God this always happens, our
best players can be
fit to face the Burnley's of the league but when it comes down to the North London derbies we
get injuries to decent
players, it's a f*cking joke.
I wish we could just clear the decks and move the 12 injury prone and not
good enough's out and settle on 18
fit players who we can
get to know and love.
am tired of wenger.the man has
got good skills, but somehow he fails to address basic issues in the team like buying a striker and a cdm in the last summer.at one time, arsenal had
good squad but had a keeper who at times committed mistakes i.e almunia.then after ozil came and arsenal were first in december, all wenger had to do was buy a pacy striker with eye for goal.but wenger did nt so obviously and instead bought an injured kallstrom.agreed ppl fans will keep saying managers shud hav played this guy or that one and so.but in case of wenger, its abt ignoring team issues t (to prove a point he can win without listening to critics and the fans which he never will), and then playing
players out of form, out of position, and buying
players that do nt
fit ur style like giroud!!
We need to pick up a win, we need to play
well and
get players fit again and
get a full squad and see where we go from there.»
We probably need to
get some
better players, and change our schemes to
fit those
players.
He'd give his annual statement (can't wait for January when all the injured
players start
getting fit and he states we have a
good enough squad) saying
players that are
better are hard to find in January as all the
best ones are in European competitions...!!!!??? Total lLies
Felt exactly the same way, maybe not like crying but certainly frustrated seeing how other clubs acquire our
players and make them
fit perfectly on their game, Jenk and Song covering the back and
well now feel like crying, FAB leader in assists commanding the Midfield and responsible for Chelsea being on top of the league, meantime let's face it, lately our
players are running on the pitch like wild geese with no clear tactics, abusing this tiki taka BS, running thru the middle like rams with no clear options,
getting injured in the process and we all know why and who is responsible, enough said...
«If we can keep him
fit and he can
get plenty of Premier League matches and international matches under his belt,» added Hodgson, «at his young age we think we've
got a
good player going forward.»
England have
got a young improving team with quite a few Arsenal
players stamping a claim to become regulars, but Wilshere, as
well as Walcott and Gibbs, simply MUST stay
fit to give England AND Arsenal more chance of winning some trophies next season...
Very
good player who will
fit in
well with Laca Ozil and Abua if he comes.Sanchez did not want to be here so let's
get players who want to play for our club.Wenger knows his time is fast running out and will not just roll over.
we have some
players that are always injured, but when
fit they are lit then we have some that
get injured often, when
fit they are not still lit yet, they still need time to come back to their
best for.
ok we didn, t start
well but with a nearly fully
fit squad we, ve
got better in the last months, ours
players seems to come back quicker from injuries kudos to the staff and we are only one point behind man shitty like wenger said each week is a chance to close the gap on chekski and it will happen patience my fellow gunners!!
We lost so many games against top 4 teams in the past couple of years, that one win won't erase it all (let's not
get ahead of ourselves) but if we can keep
getting such win by putting not only a fluid and great offensive display but also grit and composure in defence; our win today and the way it happened will be the first step in the right direction... our
best players being
fit will help too: it looks promising, as a GUNNER today I can celebrate and hoping for many more!!
if you watch arsenal place I see so much space and no runs no runs at all only when in the box if you watch Leicester they are always makeing runs all over the place that's how you score goals against a team like Southampton they controlled the game it was not unlucky just like chelsea can do control the game and won arsenal
players don't believe they can win the title the
players in that team play without heart you know why because Im sure wenger tells them becareful we don't need anymore Injurys what kind of mentality is that also I will pick out Ramsey he is playing like a
player who is leaveing the club he and flamini just don't work Ramsey is not playing
good at all wenger can blame make excuses but truth is he is the manager he make the tactics and he
gets it wrong all the time giroud has no pace none bench him against some teams and play pure pace make runs ox Walcott but they don't Walcott has lost it his pace has gone its clear or he fears I jury how if a
player is
fit put your all in forget injury if you
get Injured then so be it but if your
fit and your Walcott run put yourself about wenger should leave because he.
I think what's tough for Arsenal is that Arsene has amassed a bunch of
players that if
fit / healthy would result in a very strong team, but instead because they're oft injured, we're always on the brink of
well let's just hang on and hope they come
good v. let's just
get rid of them Mourinho style and
get new people.
and he always seems to
get a nod in the team in any position, like RW and CM even if
better players are
fit and just chilling on the bench
Then you have two
good pieces move in the offseason to maybe move up in the draft to
get the right
player that
fits.
When Wilshere is
fit then I think he could make a great deep lying playmaker, someone to sit alongside Coquelin and
good enough to make a long pass to link the def to attack or step past a
player and then pass the ball, Wilshere has done fantastic for England when playing a deep lying playmaker and he has been able to rely on his CM partners to
get the ball back.
It would be great to
get a world class striker and a DM, but even without these two additions, if we can have most of our current
players fit for most of the seasons, i think we can still perform
well if not
better just as we did in the 2nd half of last season.
Nothing like one underachiever blowing smoke up the ass of another... we know that Ozil has some incredible technical gifts, but to be considered the
best you have to bring more than just assists to the table... for me, a top
player has to possess a more
well - rounded game, which doesn't mean they need to be a beast on both ends of the pitch, but they must have the ability to take their game to another level when it matters most... although he amassed some record - like stats early on, it set the bar too high, so when people expected him to duplicate those numbers each year the pressure seemed to
get the
best of our soft - spoken star... obviously that's not an excuse for what has happened in the meantime, but it's important to make note of a few things: (1) his
best year was a transition year for many of the traditionally dominant teams in the EPL, so that clearly made the numbers appear
better than they actually were and (2) Wenger's system, or lack thereof, didn't do him any favours; by playing him out of position and by not acquiring world - class striker and / or right - side forward that would
best fit an Ozil - centered offensive scheme certainly hurt his chances to repeat his earlier peformances, (3) the loss of Cazorla, who took a lot of pressure off Ozil in the midfield and was highly efficient when it came to
getting him the ball in space, negatively impacted his effectiveness and (4) he likewise missed a
good chunk of games and frankly never looked himself when he eventually returned to the field... overall the Ozil experiment has had mixed reviews and rightfully so, but I do have some empathy for the man because he has always carried himself the same way, whether for Real or the German National team, yet he has only suffered any lengthy down periods with Arsenal... to me that goes directly to this club's inability to surround him with the necessary
players to succeed, especially for someone who is a pass first type of
player; as such, this simply highlights our club's ineffective and antiquated transfer policies... frankly I'm disappointed in both Ozil and our management team for not stepping up when it counted because they had a chance to do something special, but they didn't have it in them... there is no one that
better exemplifies our recent history than Ozil, brief moments of greatness undercut by long periods of disappointing play, only made worse by his mopey posturing like a younger slightly less awkward Wenger... what a terribly waste
i know there is not much to write about but people try to find some kind of» story» when there is none, national managers don, t think about the
players clubs they, ll play their
best players if they are available not worrying if they have a game soon afterwards they already don, t have enough time with their
players so have to make most of it, i believe wenger is managing giroud,
getting him
fit, fresh in view of a long season and is doing it while he has most of the squad
fit im sure we will reap the rewards with giroud not having a spell of 10 games without scoring.
That's why I can't
get on board the Landry hype train, not because I don't think he can be a
good player, just because I'm not sold he will
fit what Det is looking for.
But teams
get rid of
good players all the time for reasons beyond what they do on the field (salary, arrests, rebuilds, team chemistry, scheme
fit, all manner of things).
