You want to make it as easy as possible for the child to
get to the potty in time and to be able to pull training pants down as quickly as possible.
Or maybe they were able to interpret their body's signals and were able to
get to the potty in time nearly every time, but now, they are leaving potty accidents all over the home.
Potty training in one day is a method that is very effective and does work.It was originally created for children with special needs, since it works off the basis of watching your child's facial expressions and movements prior to going potty and then being able to
get them to the potty in time.
For younger children who are just learning to use the potty and do not reliably
get to the potty in time for poo - poo, it can be very helpful to have training pants that unsnap so that you aren't smearing poo - poo down their legs as you try to remove their soiled pants.
Otherwise, they can't
get to the potty in time to correct the situation!
For example, if your child usually makes it to the potty but has a few accidents every day, you could put a small star in the day's box for each time
he gets to the potty in time and a big sticker for an accident - free day.
I do think it's good when potty training pants leak just a bit because it teaches kids the consequences of not
getting to the potty in time so if they do leak one day, I won't be sorry.
The ability to walk (beginning at around twelve months) is an obvious asset in
getting to the potty in time to use it.

It «clicked» with our 2 1/2 year old son by the end of the first day, much
to our amazement as the only form of
potty training before this was begging him
to tell us when he need
to go and
in return
getting a firm «NO».
He
gets really scared when he has
to make a bowel movement, he is scared
to do it

potty and he is scared
to do it
in his underwear.

potty and the occasional poo but he would often
get off the
potty and poo or pee next

We also agreed that we should

potty chair for the rest of the 3 days
to have down stairs
in the far corner of the kitchen so I could have him

The pooping
in his pants takes a little longer
to get over, but now he pretty much goes poop on the
potty all of the time for me.
I made a sticker chart for all the kids
to use and whenever they went pee pee
in the
potty they
got to put a star sticker on their chart and they
got 5 M&M's, if they went Poo Poo
in the
potty they
got a big sticker of their choice and 10 M&M's.
He just needed a little shove
in the right direction, it will make it so much easier when his little brother
gets to potty training age.
Using these also will go a long way
in getting her
to want
to use the
potty and being
potty trained
in time for school.
The problem with most training pants is that they do not have awesome designs on them, but after going
to the store and
getting some money and car underwear he is really
getting into
potty training... but they are horrible at absorbing anything, which is where the waterproof pull on pants come
in!

It helped me make sure that at 3 o'clock
in the morning my newborn was
getting fed and at 2 o'clock
in the morning my 2 year old was
getting up
to go
potty.
He has even gone poop
in it and
got excited and told me he «farted»
in the
potty (he calls pooping both poop and fart - depending on what he wants
to call it).
O and also
in the beginning when she went
to the
potty we would
get all excited and give 5's and say alright big girl.
