I think if LACAZETTE can keep this up, he's going
to claim a place in the french world cup squad next year, his
goal scoring instinct is sharp, he knows he won't
get too
much chances and makes use of the few ones he
gets and he was unluncky not
to have scored against chelsea and his header wasn't a fluke, he knew where the post were and he directed the ball, he will be handful for defender when our complete squad starts and luckily for us he's not an injury prone player, having him, Sanchez (if he stays), Giroud and Ozil fit will be vital for us this season and i see plenty of
goals..
There is so
much talk about
getting wingers and strikers that we are all forgetting our stats from last season. It was not scoring
goals which was the problem (thanks
to Alexis whom people have already started demonising for being ambitious) but its conceding
goals which is our problem. So shouldn't the club be more focussed on
getting a CDM and a CB.
I think Cesc in the wing is also
much better than ozil in the wings, can also play box
to box or CAM can tackle put his body in the game, score
goals from many angles and above all Cesc is an arsenal graduate we all remember how Cesc made our midfield so dominant in many games, we remember how he was during our barca game till he
got injured lets not forget le capitan.
Beside Sanchez we do nt have
much players that are able
to shoot and atleast
get decent shots on target from outside the box, Like De Bryne, Yaya, Hazard, Mahrez, Payet etc... Midfielders but they are able
to get a
goal when strikers are tied down.
obviously I would prefer
to have a
much more suitable alternative in the defensive midfielder positions but if they focused more on defensive end and the occasional long - ball, this would allow Bellerin and Sead ample opportunities
to bomb forward on their respective wings while still having enough cover
to maintain their defensive shape... it would likewise allow for overlapping runs on both wings, thereby letting both Sanchez and Perez
to cut inside and
get shots away in and around the top of the box with their most dominant feet... if
goals were needed I would sub Bellerin for OX and bring Ramsey in for Elneny then switch
to a 3 -2-4-1 (more of a 3 -1-5-1 with Ramsey playing higher up the pitch) and I would only use Giroud as a sub when the game dictated it for tactical reasons... this would allow us
to be a high energy team with incredible link - up play and a
much more direct approach in the offensive end
I have so
much respect for him as he goes up for those

We need better though but I'm in full 100 % support of the purchase of Shkrodan Mustafi and Lucas Perez.Mustafi can help Koscielny now.I've been saying it here time and time again that it's not a world clsss striker we have needed but a clinical finisher which we have lacked for several seasons and counting.Hopefully this guy puts Giroud where he belongs which is on the bench.Though a world class striker is good what we have lacked is someone who puts the game
to bed in clinical fashion but Arsene Wenger has listened
to many people
to the extent that if he can't
get a world class striker then he can
get anyone. If Arsenal had a clinical finisher for some five seasons or so we coulda won the EPL then.Giroud has cost us matches and will continue
to cost us matches.Giroud is half decent as someone said here the last time.I expect Perez
to be
much better if he can take on his man and be clinical in front of
goal.

got one, as they managed
to get pressure on Nick Foles and

It's difficult
to blame Ozil for the difficulties he's faced at Arsenal without looking at the big picture... like the fans, he too was lied
to by Wenger... there is no doubt in my mind that he was told by Wenger that he was trying desperately
to recreate our earlier success by acquiring players that fit the system he ran when Henry was in his prime... as we know this hasn't happened... in order for Ozl
to flourish he needs some speed up front, forwards that can make intelligent runs, a boss in the midfield
to compensate for his obvious defensive liabilities and defenders who can transition from defence
to offence quickly and efficiently...
much like he had in Real and with the German National squad... unfortunately he ended up on a squad that has a striker who plays with his back
to goal, very few intelligent runs into the box, minus Sanchez, no one
to take pressure off him in the midfield, once Cazorla was injured, average defensive midfielders around him, which simply highlighted his lacking defensive qualities and defenders who lack the necessary cutting edge when it comes
to transitional passing... instead of blaming Ozil, which is simply too easy, especially considering his mopey disposition, we should be asking ownership and / or Wenger why they brought him in if they didn't intend on doing what was necessary
to get the best from him... can you imagine Ozil playing with the likes of Henry, Viera, Petit and Pires, it would be incredibly
to watch and even more difficult
to stop... so the only thing different between his experiences in Real and with the German team versus his time at Arsenal are the players around him and we all know who is in charge of making those decisions, the Grinch who stole soccer

Vidal is a box
to box he is not a DM and a DM we need... let me put it like this Vidal will try grab glory by
getting goals (
much like flamini) we will not take up true glory like Coquelin who knows his job is not
to attack but
to protect our back 4... not go for gaols but look hold up play when we are
getting hit with a counter until the rest of the team
get back into play... Someone who will
get battered and bruised but not lose his temper or cool but instead battle
get in good tackles and disturb the opponents Rhythm...
If just scoring points was the
goal, then there ya go they kick that one
to appease you, but the
goal was
to win the game and those 3 points at the 3 yard line were worth
much less than the attempt at
getting 7 (or 6 or 8).

You've
got to look at more than just
goals, it's the type of
goals players score how they link up with other players, work rate potentially players who don't score as
much if you stick them in our team with our midfield and they could become fantastic.
The only bit of criticism I can give is that we should have put the foot down on the gas
much earlier in the game and tried
to get an early
goal.
