need to spend more
money to
get back to where they once were.
I think only barca real or Bayern can tempt those players away from leicester, they would give
at least a year to the club, but season after that they will move onto other club depending on their form next season. As for arsenal transfer i wouldn't want to listen to rumours as most of the times these rumours are just utter garbage.i want a certain rumour about Wolfsburg signing giroud to be true.Anyways if our idiotic manager has some sense left in him after an embarrassing season he should
get a premium striker which the club
needed for past 4 years.He
need to put his ego aside and his old philosophy of waiting for players to develop. We
need already established players in every department of our team.Penny pinching has cost us just pay the damn
money get the players.I
get the feeling next season is going to be harder and we have less chance of winning cause man city have had 2 seasons without premier league and guardiola is gonna bring more quality and hunger to that team.
Most should be sold off or go I feel we gave build a great club on quick sand Over the past 10 years The old board sold us out and took the
money and ran The new board just keep taking the
money Problem is when aw does to leave or
get pushed we still have people
at the top who do nt seem to care for us Things and personnel are being put in place now but the damage is done I soooo fear from us as we are slipping from top 4 to top 7 I look
at pool and feel a bit envious They were so far behind us a few seasons ago and now they seem a long wsy in front for now They willingly or unwillingly
got a defender they
needed and we
got sweet fa Up the gooners We are arsenal till we die
At best, esp for huge
money, he would be a risk to team cohesion and having just
got rid of one who thinks of himself before the team, I ask, do we REALLY
need another, no matter how talented?
but the atmosphere
at emirates is sad like terrible u look
at anfield and it hurts me because we're such poorly ran club from fans point view we're are diehards all splits all over stadium joke we
need leaders
at arsenal top too bottom but this arsenal is not arsenal of old were is our Tony Adams ray palour, we're is our pride how dear man Utd
get Sanchez like how dear even ask pride is word here folks we have none as in overheads us fans are joke like boycott next game stay away or go and stand outside stadium for full match stand together stand tall we will be heard we are arsenal we are there customers we are Gona make change but by
money cause that's wat this club is
money and Sanchez Utd proves it
It's officially August and we still have made only 1 key signing... I HOPE wenger does spend more
money and
get the striker we
need and DM... DM6 there are still a few out there that we can
get either Bender brother recently been liked with Busquets but my main concern is the striker out targets have all said they are staying
at their current clubs....

need to
get their butt's kicked this season and fail to

at Arsenal, well then we just
need to
get as much of the
money back as we can and aim higher or smarter this next time.
I agree we
need better negotiations and all that but it's a simple solution for arsenal SPEND MORE
MONEY GETS U BETTER PLAYERS just look
at Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea theyve all
got different negotiating teams but
get the same out come which is signing the players they
need in a short space of time, some times 2 players from the same club!
Spending
money to sign Arda Turan will be a waste of
money. To me he's world class but he's not what we
need at the moment. The most important thing we
need in our squad is a new striker and Turan ain't that. It's just gonna be a waste of resources.I really hope Arsene Wenger spends the
money he has on a better striker than Lacazette. He might be good but for that amount I think we should be able to
get better.
Although I've found it very cathartic to speak, vent and end occasionally rant about all things Arsenal, we
need to act carefully and intelligently right now or we're going to
get played by this club even worse than
at present... the pro-Wengerites and the suits, who represent a considerable proportion of the season ticket holders, don't want to believe that there is no plan and that Wenger has mailed it in for several years now or that things are going to
get much worse before they
get better... why would they... many have spent a considerable sum buying some of the highest priced tickets in the World... they want to have a front row seat to see something special and to be seen doing so, which simply provides ample justification for the expense and the time invested... to many of them, Wenger is the sun in their soccer universe... his awkward disposition, misplaced arrogance and his utter lack of balls makes him a rather unusual cult figure, but the cerebral narrative seemed to embolden those who already felt pretty highly of themselves... many might not even of really liked football that much before his arrival and rarely games they weren't attending... as such, they desperately believe that Wenger, and only Wenger, can supply them with their required fix... if he goes, they were wrong and that's a tough pill to swallow... they would have to admit that they were duped... they will definitely resent whoever made them feel this way, but of course it will be too late by then... so when we go overboard with ridiculous comments bordering of anarchy, it scares the shit out of them and they shift their blame towards us rather than
at those who really perpetrated this act of treason... we aren't the enemy... we simply woke much earlier and the reason our comments have
gotten more vile in recent years is out of utter frustration... in order for any real change to occur
at this club we
need to bring as many supporters as possible with us or the big
money interests will fade and our ultimate objective will be lost... so it's time to focus on the head instead of the heart for now
i would have thought if we are only
getting in c / h wenger will go quite big in who it might be i have
got my
money on a # 15 million + player, to come in as we will
need that price range of quality to come in to compete and maybe displace mert, or
at least allow him to rest for a few games we do nt know who wengers talking to in the back ground but i am sure all the scouts have been busy and its just asking clubs for availability after that.
Good article states many reasonable conclusions and facts about the season and how amongst all the turmoil we have a manger who does well but one thing in purchases over the last five years we are 6th in the epl were
at 366m tottenham in 5th with 397m and he made a mistake there we are 6thin
money spent on players but we have had the sanchez saga and new players adjusting to epl and the team and injuries and it definitely hasnt been our year in ref decisions which have played a factor in games though we still should have won aside from ref but watford and westbrom many other games are included
at city free offside goal weak penalty and
at spurs we were robbed of going one nil up auba onside bu honestly the officiating across the whole league this year has been an embarrassment to professional officials of all sports its been bad game after game they
need to
get some rigorous training this offseason for improvement
Out of the two squads we have quite a bit in common, though (IMO) the only differences is the Henry / Viera types missing
at Arsenal
at the moment and they are HUGE differences, but not a lot
needed to
get closer to our best ever squad... The
moneys there!
the only two or three veiera type midfielders there are around
at the moment are pogba, kondogbia, (could have
got him if wenger wernt so tight with the
money) maybe carvalho the last two might
need to be molded more into that role than pogba mind you, but they have the right game for it.
are you going to
get a pounds from the
money that was not spent, until we put trophies above
money, we aren't wining the league, I laugh
at fan who say we bought this guy for 5m and sold him for 50m, I
need trophies EPL UCL, not
money because it not my
money, glory glory days is what I want,,, I want to tell my children we won 20 EPL and I withnesesed 13, not we bought giroud for 2m and sold him for 50m, nobody remembers that, pls let's grow up
Some people delude themselves why would lamar want to come to arsenal he already want a Liverpool move and you lot have no self respect, I wouldn't want him
at arsenal besides he was in the French squad who just drew with Luxembourg and Chile has been beaten twice with alexis in the squad, let's start criticising the players more than wenger
at the moment because
at the end of the day they
need to respect the shirt and the unwarranted stupid
money the
get every week
and would probably want a move away to
get more game time and would come quite cheap (prob # 15 - 18 million) for a position that doesn't always
need a lot of
money thrown,
at it its the sort of project wenger likes to make players that come under his tutelage to improve them.
I agree about not taking the cheap shots
at him, BUT he DOES TELL LIES he does make absolute balls ups of things and he point blank refuses to spend
money where its
needed, and thats why he
gets the cheap shots.
UNLESS there's a stud that dropped (Barkley, Fitzpatrick or Chubb) if all 3 of those are gone, trading back w / the Bills (12th) or Cardinals (15th) would be best we could literally
get the same player we were targetting
at 10 that could be there
at 12 or 15 less
money slotted for that spot + much
needed additional picks = WIN!!
I can only hope that this attempt is taken more seriously than the largely muted and clearly unsuccessful protests of late last season... although the plane writing escapade brought some much -
needed attention to the matter, it failed to resonate with fence - sitters and those who had just recently fell off the Wenger truck... without a big enough showing of support the whole endeavor appeared relatively weak and poorly organized, especially to the major media outlets, whose involvement could have significantly changed what was to follow... but I
get it, few wanted to turn on their club, let alone make a public display of their discord... problem is, they are preying on that vulnerability, in fact, their counting on you to keep your thoughts to yourself... who are you to tell these fat cats how to steal your
money... they have worked long and hard to pull the wool over your eyes... they even went so far as to pay enormous sums of cash to your once beloved professor to be their corporate spokesmodel so that the whole thing would be more palatable... eventually the club made it appear as if this was simply a relatively small fringe group of highly radicalized supporters, which allowed the pro-Wenger element inside the club hierarchy to claim victory following the FA Cup win... unfortunately what has happened to this club can't be solved by FA Cups or a few players coming in, the very culture of this club
needs to be changed and that starts
at the top... in order to change the unhealthy and dysfunctional narrative that has absorbed this club we
need to remove everyone who presently occupies a position of power... only then can we
get back to the business of playing championship caliber football, which should always be the number one priority of this organization... on an important side note, one of the most devastating mistakes made in the final days of this hectic and poorly planned transfer window didn't have to do with the big name players like Sanchez or Lemar, but the fact that they failed to secure Jadon Sancho, who might even start for Dortmund this season... I think they might seriously regret this oversight... instead of spending so much time, energy and manpower pretending that they were desperately trying to make big moves, they once again lost the plot due to their all too familiar tunnel vision
I like giroud... I think he's a good player... but as gooners, we
need to ask ourselves «against tough or defensive teams, where u
get only 2 - 3 clear cut chances all game, can u put ur
money on giroud to score
at least 1???»
Time for some brutal honesty... this team, as it stands, is in no better position to compete next season than they were 12 months ago, minus the fact that some fans have been easily snowed by the acquisition of Lacazette, the free transfer LB and the release of Sanogo... if you look
at the facts carefully you will see a team that still has far more questions than answers... to better show what I mean by this statement I will briefly discuss the current state of affairs on a position - by - position basis... in goal we have 4 potential candidates, but in reality we have only 1 option with any real future and somehow he's the only one we have actively tried to
get rid of for years because he and his father were a little too involved on social media and he
got caught smoking (funny how people still defend Wiltshire under the same and far worse circumstances)... you would think we would want to keep any goaltender that Juventus had interest in, as they seem to have a pretty good history when it comes to that position... as far as the defenders on our current roster there are only a few individuals whom have the skill and / or youth worthy of our time and / or investment, as such we should
get rid of anyone who doesn't meet those simple requirements, which means we should
get rid of DeBouchy, Gibbs, Gabriel, Mertz and loan out Chambers to see if last seasons foray with Middlesborough was an anomaly or a prediction of things to come... some fans have lamented wildly about the return of Mertz to the starting lineup due to his FA Cup performance but these sort of pie in the sky meanderings are indicative of what's wrong with this club and it's wishy - washy fan - base... in addition to these moves the club should aggressively pursue the acquisition of dominant and mobile CB to stabilize an all too fragile defensive group that has self - destructed on numerous occasions over the past 5 seasons... moving forward and building on our
need to re-establish our once dominant presence throughout the middle of the park we
need to target a CDM then do whatever it takes to
get that player into the fold without any of the usual nickel and diming we have become famous for (this kind of ruthless haggling has cost us numerous special players and certainly can't help make the player in question feel good about the way their future potential employer feels about them)... in order for us to become dominant again we
need to be strong up the middle again from Goalkeeper to CB to DM to ACM to striker, like we did in our most glorious years before and during Wenger's reign... with this in mind, if we want Ozil to be that dominant attacking midfielder we can't keep leaving him exposed to constant ridicule about his lack of defensive prowess and provide him with the proper players in the final third... he was never a good defensive player in Real or with the German National squad and they certainly didn't suffer as a result of his presence on the pitch... as for the rest of the midfield the blame falls squarely in the hands of Wenger and Gazidis, the fact that Ramsey, Ox, Sanchez and even Ozil were allowed to regularly start when none of the aforementioned had more than a year left under contract is criminal for a club of this size and financial might... the fact that we could find
money for Walcott and Xhaka, who weren't even guaranteed starters, means that our whole business model
needs a complete overhaul... for me it's time to
get rid of some serious deadweight, even if it means selling them below what you believe their market value is just to simply right this ship and change the stagnant culture that currently exists... this means saying goodbye to Wiltshire, Elneny, Carzola, Walcott and Ramsey... everyone, minus Elneny, have spent just as much time on the training table as on the field of play, which would be manageable if they weren't so inconsistent from a performance standpoint (excluding Carzola, who is like the recent version of Rosicky — too bad, both will be deeply missed)... in their places we
need to bring in some proven performers with no history of injuries... up front, although I do like the possibilities that a player like Lacazette presents, the fact that we had to wait so many years to acquire some true quality
at the striker position falls once again squarely
at the feet of Wenger... this issue highlights the ultimate scam being perpetrated by this club since the arrival of Kroenke: pretend your a small market club when it comes to making purchases but milk your fans like a big market club when it comes to ticket prices and merchandising... I believe the reason why Wenger hasn't pursued someone of Henry's quality, minus a fairly inexpensive RVP, was that he knew that they would demand players of a similar ilk to be brought on board and that wasn't possible when the business model was that of a «selling» club... does it really make sense that we could only make a cheeky bid for Suarez, or that we couldn't
get Higuain over the line when he was being offered up for half the price he eventually went to Juve for, or that we've only paid any interest to strikers who were clearly not going to press their current teams to let them go to Arsenal like Benzema or Cavani... just part of the facade that finally came crashing down when Sanchez finally called their bluff... the fact remains that no one wants to win more than Sanchez, including Wenger, and although I don't agree with everything that he has done off the field, I would much rather have Alexis front and center than a manager who has clearly bought into the Kroenke model in large part due to the fact that his enormous ego suggests that only he could accomplish great things without breaking the bank... unfortunately that isn't possible anymore as the game has changed quite dramatically in the last 15 years, which has left a largely complacent and complicit Wenger on the outside looking in... so don't blame those players who demanded more and were left wanting... don't blame those fans who have tried desperately to raise awareness for several years when cracks began to appear... place the blame
at the feet of those who were well aware all along of the potential pitfalls of just such a plan but continued to follow it even when it was no longer a financial necessity, like it ever really was...
You do nt
need to wait for a player to be avaliable to buy them, look
at how many players we have lost because other teams bid for our players and we didn't say know and its not like we asked for crazy
money for them (we should have
got another 10 million for fabregas and only 16 million for henry??? he should have been double that)
Charlie it's not that I'm content with Coquelin he is 23 and Matic or Sissisko are not defensive midfielders and Coquelin only
got his chance through injuries and he has done great what I'm saying is give him a go
at City and see then if we
need the option to buy and also if they want to play for Arsenal, it's all about the
money if we beat them I will be the first to raise my glass of champaign Charlie CB
never waste CAPITAL LETTERS on an article about Chambers
at this juncture... I still can't believe that no one from management has ever explained why such a frugal club spent so much
money on him in the first place... we haggle for months and years with clubs for players who could have a monumental impact on the very future of our club but somehow we found $ 16 million for someone who couldn't regularly crack a Southampton lineup (very fishy)... don't
get me wrong, I like what he showed
at times last season in Middlesbourogh but from the handful of games I watched him play I still have some serious questions about his consistency as a back - line player in the EPL; as such he should prove himself on loan for another season, making sure that he goes to a team that wants him in the starting 11... bottom line, let's not
get bogged down with the semantics of peripheral players and focus on the real task
at hand = figure out who the hell is going to be our starting 11 for the foreseeable future, which means
getting contracts signed,
getting rid of a lot of deadwood and bringing in talented players into the positions which truly
need upgrading... the rest is just unnecessary noise
It's the fans that keep sacrificing because this team can't
get their head out of their own ass... please give me some examples when a top club ever let their best player leave for free
at the end of a season... Wenger
needs to go to PSG and
get some
money and talent for Sanchez so that we can end this nonsense once and for all... then he
needs to publicly apologize for the way in which they handled the whole situation... if they allow Sanchez to go for free there is no way this club, under the tutelage of Kroenke and Wenger, will ever layout the necessary coin to replace such a talented player, especially considering that Wenger will be a lame - duck manager once again in the final year of his contract and we know how well that went last year... open your eyes people, Wenger has spoken publicly about how he hopes that the next manager can take this club to the next level... WHAT?!?... he then went on to speak about leaving them in the perfect position to be successful, which is one of the reasons why several pundits felt Wenger would leave after last season based on the financials and the fact that so many players had only one year left on their respective contracts... who says this shit??? If you believe you're leaving things in the best possible shape for your potential successor to achieve greatness it raises a couple of serious questions: Why can't you take things to the next level if everything is as great as you say?
Will Wenger throw
money at this to
get the calibre player we
need?
