Bed - sharing allows for
more frequent breastfeeding because not only is the
baby already beside the mother, but the mother does not have
to get up
to get the
baby and can
sleep while she breastfeeds.
Staying up with a crying
baby, working without
sleep, changes in your relationship with your mate, needing
to earn
more and still do your part at home, rarely having time for yourself, the demands of protecting, guiding, and being a role model
to our children - there are times you must dig deep for strength just
to get through.
Yes, lack of
sleep can be damaging
to you and your relationship
to the
baby — but using
more gentle methods of
getting the
baby to sleep does not necessarily mean you will
get less
sleep than if you cry it out.
But even those benefits don't seem worth it when your breasts are engorged, when your
baby is
sleeping through the night yet you still have
to get up at 3 a.m.
to pump, and when you can't enjoy
more than a couple of beers on a Saturday night.
As your
baby grows and you both
get to know each other better, navigating hunger and tiredness cues will come
more naturally, and you'll be able
to soothe her
more easily as you develop a comfortable routine for feeding and
sleep.

baby fall off the bed 5 times is not acceptable, my
baby fell off the bed when she was 7 months that was 5 months ago and until now i still feel guilty about it.
I tried the
baby whisper method, the cry it out a lot method, the cry it out then you pick her up, comfort her without nursing, then put her back on her crib and she's supposed
to stay
sleeping method, the rock your
baby till she's almost asleep then put her
to bed still slightly awake and she should drift off, the nurse her till she's
sleeping then put her down while slightly awake (eyes closing
more than opening, lethargic, unmoving limbs) and she should stay
sleeping method... etc etc... i gave up and just prayed that she will learn
to sleep and you know what, she
got the hang of
sleeping when she was ready, and NOT ONE MINUTE BEFORE!
Unless you have one of those magical
babies who
sleeps through the night from the
get - go, chances are you're going
to be woken up during the night for at least a few
more months.
Although breastfed
babies do wake
more frequently, they are often easier
to get back
to sleep.
This can help
babies get on a
sleep schedule faster and helps mom be able
to get more things done between feedings.
No matter how many times you've organized their closet or think about all the organic
baby food you're going
to make, some of the things that once seemed very important lose in priority
to getting even a little
more sleep, and making sure there are clean clothes and food in the house!
Both parents
get to bond
more equally with the
baby at bedtime when co
sleeping is practiced.

baby stay awake, but

to move him so you just stay slumped on the couch with one leg forward and the other bent uncomfortably under you because this kid needs
to sleep or we'll all diiieeee, nursing, realize you forgot about the weekly mothers» meeting which was your only adult outing dammit and now who will be your friend?
In addition
to this, studies show that moms who room in actually
get more sleep than those who send the
baby back
to the nursery.
Other options include a separate rocking seat
to get your
baby off
to sleep more easily and a place
to change their diaper.
Once I put him into a
baby sleeping bag we all started
getting mush
more sleep, Alex was unable
to kick his cover off and I would leave him in his bag for feeds so I didn't have
to try and quietly tuck him back into a blanket after he had fallen asleep feeding.
It also allows you the most
sleep, a chance
to learn
more baby care techniques from the staff, and
get to know your
baby sooner.
Since your
baby gets to sleep during travel on either a long journey or a visit
to the mall, you are
more likely
to welcome this feature.

Week.4: it can be really helpful

baby into a routine at night time; this way they know when it s bedtime and you can start

sleep through the noise, and

to get things done around the house or relax with the TV on.
So far I have freaked out about doubling the amount of children in our house, where the

to sleep, cloth diapering, starting completely over with

to drive four kids around (thank God we just replaced my husband's car in January with a full size SUV with a usable third row), traveling with four kids, what happens if my husband has
to start traveling for work,
getting the big kids
to and from school with two
babies in tow, how the big kids are going
to feel once there are two new
babies in the house, how I»M going
to feel with two
more babies in the house, and so on and so forth.
Tell your
baby that you will have
more energy for playing and having fun together during the day when you're able
to get enough
sleep throughout the night.
You will be told when that doesn't happen, when your
baby starts
to get more mobile when crawling and walking they will wear themselves out then start
to sleep better!
For some moms, if their
babies are
sleeping through the night,
getting up once
to pump a bottle is just
more ideal time than trying
to take an extra break when they're working.
The
baby will suck and
sleep and suck, without
getting large quantities at this point, but the mother may have a letdown reflex (milk ejection reflex) from time
to time and the
baby will drink
more.
Preemies who are developmentally not yet at their calendar age or temperamentally
more sensitive
babies may
get fussy or «shutdown» (go
to sleep) when worn forward - facing.
I know exactly how crazy and counter-intuitive waking and
getting up
to offer the potty can be, and the risk of having
to spend even
more time putting
baby back
to sleep is the last thing you want
to face, but you may be surprised by how easily and quickly
babies go back
to sleep once their needs are met!
Your
baby may feel
more than a little confused when he or she is suddenly
sleeping further away from you than ever before, but setting up a strict nighttime routine is a great way
to help your child figure out when it's time
to get ready for bed.
While the American Academy of Pediatrics» HealthyChildren.org points out that hiccups usually bother you

baby, they could stand between you and
getting back
to sleep after a feeding.
