Nothing you could ever do to Giroud would ever make him come good just nothing. Its not a formation set up that
gets a player to dribble, score, be world class, be dependable, wow the crowd and the like. Its the players» own ability that makes him do that.Once you don't have it ya ain't gat it brother.Read my lips!!!!! Once ya don't have it ya ain't gat it.As simple as ABC.So I expect this to be another de ja vu case and waste of
time if Giroud and Alexis are paired.I'm even shocked it's coming from Henry. He should rather be giving us
more reasons why we need a new striker and why we would fail if we don't
get the new striker.Forget Giroud's stats for a moment and judge him by how he
plays when you are watching him.You would realize that given the same chances
at Arsenal strikers who are not even world class can do better.I want a new striker even if not world class and to be honest its not necessarily a world class striker that wins you a league but just increases the chances of winning it.Peace!!!!
he needs
time to adapt and he should be
playing with the first
time more (
at least in
more Fa cup and carling cup games) he is crying out to be
played more and we are ignoring him for
getting the talent he has.

It's difficult to blame Ozil for the difficulties he's faced
at Arsenal without looking
at the big picture... like the fans, he too was lied to by Wenger... there is no doubt in my mind that he was told by Wenger that he was trying desperately to recreate our earlier success by acquiring players that fit the system he ran when Henry was in his prime... as we know this hasn't happened... in order for Ozl to flourish he needs some speed up front, forwards that can make intelligent runs, a boss in the midfield to compensate for his obvious defensive liabilities and defenders who can transition from defence to offence quickly and efficiently... much like he had in Real and with the German National squad... unfortunately he ended up on a squad that has a striker who
plays with his back to goal, very few intelligent runs into the box, minus Sanchez, no one to take pressure off him in the midfield, once Cazorla was injured, average defensive midfielders around him, which simply highlighted his lacking defensive qualities and defenders who lack the necessary cutting edge when it comes to transitional passing... instead of blaming Ozil, which is simply too easy, especially considering his mopey disposition, we should be asking ownership and / or Wenger why they brought him in if they didn't intend on doing what was necessary to
get the best from him... can you imagine Ozil
playing with the likes of Henry, Viera, Petit and Pires, it would be incredibly to watch and even
more difficult to stop... so the only thing different between his experiences in Real and with the German team versus his
time at Arsenal are the players around him and we all know who is in charge of making those decisions, the Grinch who stole soccer

I hope akpom joins feyernood on loan, it will be massive for his development as he will
get d chance to
play european football and
get more game
time at the highest level
Today interested me, we pressed collectively and very well, forcing Stoke into mistake after mistake, but it was
more than that, we saw Cazorla, Coquelin even Koscielny striking from far out, I think I counted 5 or 6
times where we just
played the simple ball over the top looking for Walcott, it will be interesting to see if this was just a one off, desperate as we were to
get a goal
at home.
Up front we have a few world - class players surrounded by some serious pretenders... Sanchez is by far the most accomplished player in our attack but the controversy surrounding his contractual mishandling could see him go before the window closes or most definitely by season's end... obviously a mistake by both parties involved, as Sanchez's exploits have never been
more on display than in North London, but the club's irresponsible wage structure and lack of real intent have been the real undoing in this mess... Lacazette, who I think has some world - class skills as a front man, will only be as good as the players and system around him, which is troubling due to our current roster and Wenger's love of sideways passing... Walcott should have been sold years ago, enough said, and Welbeck should never have been brought in from the
get - go... both of these players have suffered numerous injuries over their respective careers and neither are good enough to overcome such difficulties: not to mention, they both are below average first - touch players, which should be the baseline test for any player coming to a Wenger - led Arsenal team... Perez should have been
played wide left or never purchased
at all; what a huge waste of
time and money, which is ridiculous considering our penny pinching ways and the fact that fans had been clamoring for a real striker for years... finally Giroud, the fact that he stills wears the jersey is a direct indictment of this club's failure to
get things right... this isn't necessarily an attack on Giroud because I think he has some highly valued skills, but not for a team that has struggled to take their sideways soccer to the next level, as his presence slows their game even
more, combined with our average,
at best, finishing skills... far too often those in charge have either settled or chosen half - measures and ultimately it is us that suffer because no matter what happens Wenger, Gazidis and Kroenke will always make
more money whereas we will always be the ones paying for their mistakes... so every
time someone suggests we should just shut - up and support the team just think of all the sacrifices you've made along the way and simply reply... f *** off
Cazorla might be the one who
gets less game
time,
playing more as cover for Ozil to save his legs and give them both enough of a break
at times during the long season?
ozil
played at an avg for 63 mins per game
at Madrid he doesn't have the stamina to
play full 90 mins both ger national squad & Madrid figured that out he needs 2 given break from
time 2
time if he found it hard in la liga he definitely will find it
more difficult in PL rotate him & he will
get better
«I think
at times we could have done a better job of
getting traffic to the front of the net and make it
more difficult on (Hutton) but he
played well,» Kerfoot said.
Trust me he will continue to sit on the bench and when he realises he needs to
play more he will end up leaving just like the others.Wenger now is not the
time to build for the future but
time to deliver. We have been building for ten years now look
at where it
got us.A team full of average players: Wilshere, Walcott, Chamberlain, Ramsey, Gibbs, Flamini, Arteta etc
Arsene Wenger can must
get Ben Yedder as long as he's clinical and can beat his man.I'd take him over Giroud any day and I think if Giroud is put in that Toulouse squad he won't score
more goals than Ben Yedder and denying this fact would mean you choose to be blinded. We had better
get him quickly.I've said it here
time and
time again the reason why Arsenal are not winning things with Giroud is because he's not clinical. If you guys were to ever watch his misses in every season by season since he came here you would be shocked
at the kind of striker we have. But as usual he's always forgiven and people continually rate him basing it on statistics and forget he's
playing for Arsenal with the likes of.......
He wanted
more playing time and OBVIOUSLY he wasn't going to
get that
at Arsenal.
Same could be said for Giroud, look how he
got dropped to super sub role last season, Giroud was fit to start most of them and if Wenger love had
played a part like you said then Welbeck wouldn't have been given a chance
at the end of last season and Giroud would have had a lot
more game
time.
Wilshere still holding ball too long
at times but in part for lack of support but his holding and distribution
play is good and he is
getting in to
more dangerous positions... problem is wenger and his endless team rotations until this stops we will underperform
Sanzhez
played in the confederation cup lead Chile to a win (after being such a big part of our season) to come back 2 weeks after (when most have had a good rest) didn't
get to settle fully then
got injured sine then he has not been
at his best (bad season for him) Ozil for me has had a near great season scored a assist 18 + goals what
more can you ask for... you are trying to put the way Giroud is useless 70 % of the
time and compare with two people who have made us better..
If Chambers were
at Everton, He'd
get more game
time and he'll prolly
play at CB in which case we'd also be shouting «sign him up».
This is an incredibly difficult question to answer for a variety of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful» style of
play has become a shadow of it's former self, only to be replaced by a less than stellar «plug and
play» mentality where players
play out of position and adjustments / substitutions are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look
at our current players, very few would make sense in the traditional Wengerian system...
at present, we don't have the personnel to move the ball quickly from deep - lying position, efficient one touch midfielders that can make the necessary through balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards to stretch defences into wide positions, without the aid of the backs coming up into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes in the same clinical fashion we did years ago... on this current squad, we have only 1 central defender on staf, Mustafi, who seems to have any prowess in the offensive zone or who can even pass two zones through so that we can advance
play quickly out of our own end (I have seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive qualities but too early to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency to
get himself in trouble when he
gets overly aggressive on the ball... from our backs out wide, we've seen pace from the likes of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted
play of Monreal, but none of these players possess the skill - set required in the offensive zone for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud was
playing and his ratio of scored goals per clear chances was relatively low (better last year though)... obviously I like Bellerin's future prospects, as you can't teach pace, but I do worry that he regressed last season, which was obvious to Wenger because there was no way he would have used Ox as the right side wing - back so often knowing that Barcelona could come calling in the off - season, if he thought otherwise... as for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the
more confident Xhaka I watched
played for the Swiss national team a couple years ago, who truly makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the ball too long, gives the ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities on a regular basis (doesn't score enough recently to justify): that being said, I've always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka is a little too slow to ever boss the midfield and he tends to telegraph his one true strength, his long ball
play: although I must admit he did
get a bit better during some points in the latter part of last season... it always made me wonder why whenever he
played with Coq Wenger always seemed to
play Francis in a
more advanced role on the pitch... as for Coq, he is way too reckless
at the wrong
times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself in and around the box far too often... let's face it Wenger was ready to throw him in the trash heap when injuries forced him to use Francis and then he had the nerve to act like this was all part of a bigger Wenger constructed plan... he like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary to satisfy the quick transitory nature of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset needed to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive players can remain aggressive in the final third... on the front end, we have Ozil, a player of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends to offend, the fact that he's been
played out of position far too many
times since arriving and that the players in front of him, minus Sanchez, make little to no sense considering what he has to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence in Real or the space and protection he receives in the German National team's midfield, where teams couldn't afford to focus too heavily on one individual... this player was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components... in regards to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I see them in large part as headless chickens who are on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair to warrant their inclusion in a regular starting eleven; I would say that, of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we went to a back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I had to choose one of those 3 players to stay on it would be Ox due to his potential as a plausible alternative to Bellerin in that wing - back position should we continue to use that formation... in Sanchez, we
get one of the most committed skill players we've seen on this squad for some years but that could all change soon, if it hasn't already of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't make sense given the constructs of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the ball too long and he will give the ball up a little too often in the offensive zone... a fact that is largely forgotten due to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem to justify the means... finally, and in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there is nothing about this team or the offensive system that Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a player would make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and,
at times, has showed some world - class qualities but he's lack of mobility is an albatross around the necks of our offence... so when you ask who would be our best starting 11, I don't have a clue because of the 5 or 6 players that truly deserve a place in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the other was just sold to Juve... man, this is theraputic because following this team is like an addiction to heroin without the benefits
Although I've found it very cathartic to speak, vent and end occasionally rant about all things Arsenal, we need to act carefully and intelligently right now or we're going to
get played by this club even worse than
at present... the pro-Wengerites and the suits, who represent a considerable proportion of the season ticket holders, don't want to believe that there is no plan and that Wenger has mailed it in for several years now or that things are going to
get much worse before they
get better... why would they... many have spent a considerable sum buying some of the highest priced tickets in the World... they want to have a front row seat to see something special and to be seen doing so, which simply provides ample justification for the expense and the
time invested... to many of them, Wenger is the sun in their soccer universe... his awkward disposition, misplaced arrogance and his utter lack of balls makes him a rather unusual cult figure, but the cerebral narrative seemed to embolden those who already felt pretty highly of themselves... many might not even of really liked football that much before his arrival and rarely games they weren't attending... as such, they desperately believe that Wenger, and only Wenger, can supply them with their required fix... if he goes, they were wrong and that's a tough pill to swallow... they would have to admit that they were duped... they will definitely resent whoever made them feel this way, but of course it will be too late by then... so when we go overboard with ridiculous comments bordering of anarchy, it scares the shit out of them and they shift their blame towards us rather than
at those who really perpetrated this act of treason... we aren't the enemy... we simply woke much earlier and the reason our comments have
gotten more vile in recent years is out of utter frustration... in order for any real change to occur
at this club we need to bring as many supporters as possible with us or the big money interests will fade and our ultimate objective will be lost... so it's
time to focus on the head instead of the heart for now
In the case of Holding i would really like to see
more of him, because the few
times i have seem him he has been good with some little errors and can only
get better with
more games while he is not
playing i hope he puts in some work
at the gym.
I would also
play Ramsey in central midfield against
more physical teams to give Cazorla rest and consider
playing Walcott on Giroud's right for some games to
get both goal scorers on the pitch
at the same
time.
Maybe Gabriel should have had
more regular
playing time but when he was on he
played like he could
get a red card or give away a penalty
at any
time.
From school teams to select teams to all - star teams, many players end up
playing baseball or softball year - round without
getting any rest, sometimes on two or
more teams
at the same
time.
Last but least Ozïl, the talent is there and we know it: on any given day
at the top of his form he is arguably the best # 10 in the world and just need performances like this and the previous one to show it and remind everyone (what a pass for Giroud); will do a lot for his confidence and also felt he could've been
more involved in the team
play but that will come with game
time (
got 90 mins today)... Hopefully that doesn't stop until season's end and keep them passes and goals coming... Dare I say I would've love to see once a front of Alexis, Ozïl, Walcott / Chamberlaine and Cazorla (mouthwatering)!!!
The fact is that it may have been
more of a gamble if Coquelin hadn't
got any game
time and had spent the last five months in the reserves, so it was definitely a good experience for the Frenchman to
play at Charlton.
Nacho is
playing well
at the moment because he has had a decent run of games and will only
get better if he continues, gibbs may have better pace, but monreal wins in other departments, the only reason why GIBBS
get more games than monreal is because wenger is intent on selecting his english core, to the detriment of the team
at times.
wenegr is in the twilight years of his arsenal career now he might or might not see out the full term of his contract, i would image he wont give up but if he do nt
get a big prize this season or next his desire might dwindle even
more the board have seen what a shambles man united have gone through and the expense of failure, if they do nt
get the next appointment right the board is trying to give themselves as much
time to identify a replacement and in the correct
time unless wenger leaves
at short notice, i think if he had won the c / l all thought years ago we would be looking
at a different story i think he would have left
at the end if that contract as he would be
at the peak of his powers and could of gone anywhere he like across europe, but he didn't win and here we are now, i respect the man for what he has done for us and english football a modern day herbert chapmen he is but even old chappy had his end of and era and wenger will have his end its just how will it
play out hopefully a winner
I'd
play him in midfield with jack he reminds me Micheal Thomas we have bring sead kolosinic back in or even put him right back cause bellerin has being nothing short of disastrous in every way I like him as a man but my god he has not pushed on and I must say Cech looks so old and sluggish like last nite when Hernandez hit cross bar Cech looked so slow reactions gone we need keeper and I think Forster be great for us da guy
at Southampton I think ozil will stay he's trying a lot
more so would I to
get 280 thousand weekly and Sanchez won't go cause not that he wants stay but he's form is very worrying hard take 3 weeks ago I looked
at table and said we'll finish above spuds by ten points and in top 4 easily now we're behind them we have no consistency and manager that's just too old I love wenger always will but it's
time and I think artery would be great choice for manager he meant be great coach maybe he's the one
get Man City so great after all he loves arsenal maybe it's wenger plan go learn from pep and come bk when I leave take over and mersaker as he's no2 arteta and bfg take us forward and hand picked by wenger conspiracy theory begins
It begs the question — with City struggling so much
at the moment, can this Premier League legend really not
get more playing time?
At least Campbell is
more likely to
get regular
playing time over there....
