It's a very moist bread, so it kept a couple of days without
getting dry at all.
Don't worry if you've left a gap between daytime potty training and

At this point, you may need to switch the baking sheets (if you are using 2) so the granola cooks evenly 9) Bake for another 15 minutes, then stir again, before cooking for a final 15 minutes or until golden brown 10) Remove granola from the oven and place on cooking racks until completely cool and crisp 11) Store granola in air - tight containers at room temperatur
At this point, you may need to switch the baking sheets (if you are using 2) so the granola cooks evenly 9) Bake for another 15 minutes, then stir again, before cooking for a final 15 minutes or until golden brown 10) Remove granola from the oven and place on cooking racks until completely cool and crisp 11) Store granola in air - tight containers

My only substitutions were a bit of Penzey's
dried orange peel for the flower water and some granulated tapioca as the thickener (an idea I
got from Elise
at Simply Recipes, as I had some left over from her strawberry - rhubarb cobbler.

I was planning on using canned and had to drive 48 miles to Fargo to buy
dried, but
at this stage in the winter game I will use any excuse to
get out of the house.
I've actually never found it in my standard grocery stores here in Canada, but I've made it (or
at least a tasty approximation) by soaking 5 or 6
dried ancho or guajillo chilies in hot water (I
get mine from a Latin American grocery store in Toronto, but I bet you could use
dried cayennes in a pinch, which seem to be more common), draining them, and blending them with toasted cumin seed, coriander, garlic, sundried tomatoes, and sometimes a tablespoon or so of chipotles in adobo sauce.
The only things I can think of that I didn't differently: used homemade veg broth I had in the freezer (I'm vegetarian though my husband isn't and he thought the soup was great) used mixed
dried mushrooms (you can
get a large amount from costco for not too much - I keep them on hand for all my
dried mushroom needs) did a healthy glug of sherry (more than the recipe) into the mushrooms when they were done sauteeing added spinach
at the end to the soup For the dumplings, the only thing I did that was different than what many would do is use an egg from one of my hens - other than that I made them just as other people did but mine were full of flavor and could be eaten plain.
After baking the marinated chicken you'll
get some moist and crumbly meat which isn't
dry at all.
4) Gently pour the milk - water - oil liquid over the flour a little
at a time, mixing with a spoon, until you
get a dough that is neither too wet nor too
dry.

at least 10 minutes before slicing into 8 portions.
If your dough runs on the
dry side, increase your liquid 2 tablespoons
at a time until you
get the consistency you want.
Glad you liked the taste but shame it turned out
dry and rubbery, it's hard to say why, to be honest I don't work with vital wheat gluten often
at all as I can't buy it here (online only) so it's hard for me to troubleshoot as I don't have a lot of experience working with it: — RRB - The proportions of liquid should be just right in the recipe so maybe too much vital wheat gluten
got added during the kneading stage?
It may look
dry at first, but the banana releases moisture when you stir and the cocoa powder
gets hydrated.
