As the voting for the inaugural FIFA Ballon d'Or confirmed, the versatile forward has well and truly usurped the goal -
getting striker in the glamour stakes.
I don't think it solves our striker issues though, and I doubt we're
getting a striker and a wide forward.
As well as the actual tournaments and packs, we also saw international position changes with players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Alexis Sanchez
all getting striker cards to reflect the position they play for their international teams.
Recently, Milan have been reported as being the closest to
getting the striker's signature.
How about
getting a striker who can do the
We tried with Alexis up front and
getting a striker who's netted 30 + goals last season could work out a treat or at least it gets me excited.
@Wootton I also believe that quality cover for Le Coq is more important than
getting a striker... Remember the DM position is also the position where the player is forced into making tackles and give away fouls so he is more susceptible to yellow and even red cards, and that's not even counting injuries.
And I think Theo will defend and chase back if he is used as a right winger, if Wenger is not planning on
getting a striker I hope he's after a winger at least.
Getting a striker who can give you 25 goals a season is gold dust.
I think we'll be
getting a striker for sure, before the WHam game Wenger spoke about possible signings.
Even Cazorla made a interesting comment about
getting a striker
Wenger NOT
getting the striker and DM that we desperately needed
Wenger is trying to dodge
getting a striker, Alexis not good enough up front on his own so Arsenal trying to not spend for the sake of spending.
I can not see arsenal spending say # 40m on mahrez and
getting a striker, I think it is one or the other and I would go for a striker.
Like a mirror reporter wrote that not
getting a striker is absolute negligence and I couldn't agree more.
So it seems we won't be
getting a striker unless a top class striker like benzema is available, then maybe Wenger would make a move.
But... making Theo no. 1 striker should not stop Arsenal from
getting another striker if they can.
not
getting a striker and panic buy lucas.
For that money you could get a fantastic winger AND solid DM which would improve the club much more than
getting a striker who will get 2 or 3 more goals than Giroud if all goes well.
But i think wenger just wants to get up striker to giroud it instead of
getting a striker to replace him...... why would you not go in for falcao!
But how ever i feel this would only guaranty us a trophy, NOT the bpl, sadly the only way i see us winning the bpl is with a better striker or a drastic improvement from Giroud and with the way its going it looks like we are going to have to bet on Giroud, wenger ai nt
getting another striker
Getting another striker was always more debatable as we had at least two first team players wanting to play striker, inspite of the lack of goals, and Theo is definitely not the finished product at the moment.
No hint of
us getting a striker or winger either.
Getting a striker won't solve the problem cause what i see in arsenal team is just bunch of average players.
Will emotions get in the way of Arsenal
getting a Striker a DM and a Keeper this summer?
Rest assured we will not be
getting a striker....
I wasnt too sure about
getting a striker before the match but now i think all of our minds are made up (hopefully Wenger too)
Well i will have to disagree with Ray Wilkins as regards
getting a striker, to be sincere we all were crying for Wenger to sign a TOP Striker but since he's started playing Sanchez up top there has been a massive change and come to think of it Sanchez is one of the best in that position given that he doesn't even play there regularly and he's also the top scorer in the PL, I believe we've always had a TOP striker in Alexis and Mr Wenger didn't realize it until the beginning of this season.
I simply believe that Wenger is not really interested in
getting another striker.
We must also strengthen our squad by
getting a striker, winger and CB if we want to compete for PL and CL.
And let's all be true to our selves we are not getting none of the world class strikers out there look at the teams they are at and what can we offer them that the teams they're at haven't given them already and I don't see the point in
getting a striker that's not better than the striker we have already, morata lacazette.....
But to still not
getting a striker after knowing Welbeck will be out til Christmas (if true) is highly irresponsible and detrimental to our team.
Every year at this time, all the clubs clamour for one thing —
getting a striker on board.
Arsenal are not
getting a striker.
From a business perspective we'd be
getting a striker with amazing potential and an on the brink of world - class player.
I said this earlier, considering the crazy prices being quoted, the only way we are
getting a striker this season is if one of these two things happen:
NY, I remember a time at the start of two previous seasons ago when there was talk of
us getting another striker and while that was going on Giroud improved enormously.
So then there lies a question — would we be better off by
getting a striker that is blends the skills of both?
To be quite honest, I'm so glad we're
getting a striker.
and no matter he much most of us buttress it, it will hurt if he rejects us cuz
getting a striker with lower risks is going to b hard
I fkin don't mind, just sign a damn striker.the more time goes by the less chance we have of even
getting a striker, I'm just scared Wenger has decided to name Theo our new top draw striker.
If say the Arsenal board member who said Arsenal identified a striker they wanted to buy but the club wants a replacement first, one hopes that striker was Baryen's Lewandoski and that Abumayang wants to go to Bayern, otherwise the Abumayang transfer will have no impact on Arsenal
getting a striker because Benzema is just as good as Giroud.
15m could have gone a long way towards
getting a striker / DM in the summer.
if were
getting another striker we must accommodate them both, which means a new formation.
We wouldn't be
getting another striker for a long time not after spending that amount.
my opinion on
getting a striker.
AW not
getting a striker and will be using OG often, so get used to it and stop dreaming for anybody else!
With the Gunners still needing at least two more players, in my opinion, is Wenger's policy stopping
us getting the striker and central defender we need to compete for major trophy success?
Perez was a «smoke and mirrors» buy just so the fans would get off Wenger's back about
getting another striker.
