I was using what I had to make some Christmassy muffins: I ran out of
ghee so had half - and - half ghee and coconut oil; ditto almond flour so used hazelnut; I replaced the orange zest and juice with segments from two seedless clementines, halved; then I added some cinnamon and nutmeg.
I know it works great with butter or
ghee so coconut oil should be fine too.

so I can see why one would want to restart using fresh butter if the color does change.
It is essentially clarified butter, which may make you wonder why people go through the trouble of making
ghee when regular butter is
so yummy!
So here is the main difference in this recipe, as we dry roast flours, and then add melted
ghee into it.
So, if you can get past squash for breakfast, poach or fry a few eggs in
ghee and give it a whirl.
I can't eat dairy
so I will try to make it with coconut oil or
ghee and perhaps serve it with cashew cream instead and I will report.
Finally, add the
ghee and blend it in well
so all the ingredients are coated.

Almond butter would bake,
so it wouldn't be quite the same, and I'm sorry but
ghee and clarified butter are not dairy - free.
It's a great book that has approachable yet authentic recipes — and none of them call for
ghee,
so it's heart - healthy.
Well there are a couple more steps in between, but it's really pretty simple, and
so much cheaper than buying
ghee in the supermarket.
But just got one question I live in Chile and here we don't have vegan shortening
so can I use
ghee instead?
But go with the
ghee, it is just
so good.
You could use
ghee (if reintroduced successfully) or coconut oil or omit it if you
so wish.
Answer: The marinated fresh lamb chops were fried in
ghee and that just through it over the top, they were
so good.
