In the first of these attitudes the
real gifts of art and poetry and of all the great explanatory adventures are lost.
As a former teacher, it is the
little gifts of art and drawing that I miss the most and treasure from my old students!
With the amazing work of everyone involved, an expression of love and the
unique gift of art was given.

The Museum celebrates Dr. Jeff Harrison's incredible 33 - year tenure as Curator and Chief Curator at the Chrysler, from 1982 — 2015, with an exhibition
of gifts of art given in honor of his service.
Among the
significant gifts of art secured through Bedford's leadership are 41 major works donated from computer programmer and philanthropist Peter Norton that comprise video, photography, painting, prints, sculpture, and mixed media by Doug Aitken, Mark Dion, Nicole Eisenman, Omer Fast, Mike Kelley, Gabriel Kuri, Christian Marclay, Damián Ortega, Kara Walker, Christopher Wool, and Lisa Yuskavage.
Legacy: The Emily Fisher Landau Collection presents a selection of works from the
historic gift of art pledged to the Whitney Museum of American Art in May 2010 by longtime Whitney Museum trustee Emily Fisher Landau.
1992: The Harry W. and Mary Margaret Anderson Collection — comprising seven works related to American Pop art — becomes the first
major gift of art in honor of the new building.
His bequest in 1979 together with her bequest in 1993 are among the Fine Arts Museums» single most
important gifts of art.
Art Bridges also has its own collection of 23 works of art, endowed no doubt by Walton and which also
includes gifts of art from Carolyn and Laurence Belfer of New York.
