Angeles gift of the artist from 1952 - 1979 at which time I purchased it from them.A painting of his wife riva sold at butterfields auction for 17.000 dollars a painting of three girls sold at Sothebys in 1982 for 32.000 this painting is unique although a none observant jew for him to paint this Chassidic Jew must have reminded him of his early years in Lithuania and Riga, Latvia.
