I am not only using cashew and spiciness of ginger here, but also going a step rather two steps ahead by adding ginger in three forms; freshly grated, ginger powder and
crystallized ginger pieces.
Detailed below is what I do, but really use anything that you like —
crystallised ginger pieces, orange water to flavour the chocolate, flaked coconut (not the desiccated stuff please), cocoa nibs, pink peppercorns, crushed candy canes, angelica, glace fruits, toasted pecans.
These green shakes I've been making are delicious and nutritious: pineapple, green apple,
fresh ginger piece, spinach, parsley, rice milk, milk thistle seed, pumpkin / sesame / sunflower seeds, turmeric powder, protein powder, brewer's yeast, spirulina, kelp powder.
You could also add another topping, if you like; maybe
candied ginger pieces, fruit salsa, slices of fresh fruit, fruit paste or jam, or toasted nuts.
Roughly chop the cilantro before adding it to the pan then add
the ginger pieces from the stock making and the coriander seeds.
After 15 minutes...... rinse the ginger and mint out of the broth (be sure not to miss
a ginger piece).
Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ones adding
the ginger pieces.
Rinse
the ginger pieces with the skin on and cut the onions in half leaving the skins on.
Place the noodles in bowls and pour the hot broth over them, straining out
the ginger pieces.
Take pears out, strain the liquid, leaving
the ginger pieces and cinnamon stick in.
If you are using ginger powder instead of dried
ginger pieces, take the amount wayyyyy down.

Originally, I thought
the ginger pieces might melt into the fruit as it baked, but they stay relatively whole.
These are a delightfully butter shortbread cookie infused with chewy, spicy,
ginger pieces.
Place a grater above the bowl and grate the ginger so it falls into your cupped hand (placing it over the bowl catches
any ginger pieces that may fall from your hand as you grate).
