In keeping with my healthy sandwich / pita idea, I decided to use ground chicken breast to make the curry - spiced chicken patties
because it's really lean and takes on whatever flavors you throw at it, in this case: garlic,
ginger, onion, jalapeno, scallions, curry
powder, and other spices.
- Used almond meal from Trader Joe's instead of blanched almond flour (added some flour at the end when I was mixing it all together
because it was a little wetter than I thought it should be)- Used mostly agave with about 1/8 C of maple syrup instead of yacon - Used 1 tsp
powdered ground
ginger / 1 tsp real grated
ginger - Used a little less than 1/2 C grapeseed oil (didn't measure — just read some of the above comments and didn't want to use too much oil
I added
ginger powder only
because I didn't have fresh
ginger root on hand.
This, I think, is quite necessary to produce a Madras curry at its best,
because there are ingredients in the paste which can not enter into a
powder — tamarind, green
ginger, a very little garlic, almonds, mustard oil, etc..
Turmeric, Carrot and
Ginger drink is actually would be good
because there is flu going around right now, would it be okay to make with turmeric
powder?
Most people have taken
ginger products, but they may have experienced limited benefits
because the supplement contained plain
ginger powder.
Just finished my breakfast this morning with this smoothie and
because I have severe arthritis at age 80, I try to add some turmeric and or
ginger to most smoothies, so I added 1/2 teaspoon of both and about 1/2 tablespoon of raw protein
powder vanilla flavor.
I've been recommending the
powdered root of both turmeric and
ginger for psoriasis for many years.These spices can come either as
powdered or in their fresh form, and definitely make sense if you have psoriasis,
because of their anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
I tried the Super C Anti-Inflammatory Smoothie yesterday, but used
ginger powder instead
because I was out of turmeric.
