I have been resigned to
GF bread that is more gelatinous in consistency than the elasticity that gluten
gives to regular
bread.
I have tried to bake so many different recipes of
gf bread & almost
gave up, b / c I was not satisfied.
Hope you don't
give up on
gf breads just yet!
I'll
give one of the
bread mixes a try and use a custom program instead of the
GF program mode.
I've had a lot of success making gluten free cookies and muffins and quick
breads, but
gf scones have
given me so much trouble and my family loves scones!
Personally I enjoy the nutty flavour it
gives the potatoes but if your stomach is okay with gluten (or maybe you have some
gf bread crumbs lying around?)
I've been gluten - free for about 8 years and
gave up on
gf bread shortly after because it tends to be such a sad replacement.
I've never had
GF soda
bread - need to
give this a try!
