Theo is fine as a CF.. He has been playing on the left and I think we can all say that Theo is not as effective on the left compared to the right or as a CF.. It will be good to leave Theo to focus solely on the CF role as it will give Giroud a tougher competition for the starting spot and that will only benefit us fans when we have 2 different style CF to fcuk over opponents with We have a Plan B with Theo and I think that is very important.

He is definitely giving Giroud chances due to the French national team which is a major tournament for him due to the ban of Benzema and lets face it Giroud is good when plays with France who is a completely different player for them than Arsenal.
Reading the thread on this article and I noticed a lot of people naming strikers we could have gotten in past transfer windows that have gone to other club and failed, Balotelli, Falcao, Martinez, Boney etc are recurring names in all the comments, and am sat here thinking because they failed in thee clubs does not necessarily mean they would have failed if we had pulled out our fingers and hot them back then, Balotelli aside I strongly believe all of these players could have made a difference playing infront of our midfield and given the kind of attention and care Wenger gives Giroud and Walcott, adapting our play to suit them and giving them chances after chances even when its blatantly obvious they are average players so please lets not keep using that as an excuse for Wenger's ultra careful attitude in the transfer market, they could have failed with us, or they could have been massive for us, all speculations.
Strangely enough, considering the amount of players that Arsenal have nearing the end of their contracts, Arsene Wenger gave Giroud an extension to his current deal this season, and now he has made it clear that he did that for a reason.
