When you're watching a [narrative]
feature film, you're often
given bits of information at different times, not understanding [the whole
story until the end].
For a film which
features the word «irony» so prominently, it's suitably ironic that Reality Bites
features a documentary
given the commercial television treatment, as the movie as a whole has an underlying compelling
story that feels like it has been drained of all uniqueness by the corporate interests handling the film.
While Thomas W. Kiennast's black - and - white cinematography is quite beautiful to behold (Gröning's film certainly
features some excellent cinematographic moments as well), Atef's film never manages to convey why we should care, today, about this brief moment in Schneider's well - documented life, including her never - ending struggle with the German press, her inability to escape the role of Sissi that made her instantly famous as a teenager, and the various tragedies that befell her, including the suicide of her ex - husband.7 The film is not a biopic per se (and Atef declared that she did not intend to make one): thus, audiences who are not already familiar with Schneider certainly will not come away from viewing the film with much of a sense of her life's
story); yet,
given it is not a biopic, one wonders what the film is, or what it tries to accomplish.
In terms of special
features, there is «Killing Kennedy: An Interview with Author Bill O'Reilly», which
gives good insight into the
story.
This free comic is a double
feature,
giving us
stories from Pokémon: Sun & Moon and Pokémon Horizon: Sun & Moon storylines.
Teri Garr is fond of telling the
story of how Bob Rafelson and Jack Nicholson came to name their Monkees
feature: they hoped for a sequel so they could advertise it as «from the people who
gave you Head.»
Featuring the talents of Dominic Monaghan, Shawn Ashmore, Lance Reddick and Aidan Gillen, Remedy are looking to lend this time - travelling

feature is a superbly - scripted affair, melding vengeance with veracity to
give a thriller that's efficient for how far from taut it is.
For her second narrative
feature Los Perros, which premiered in Le Semane de Critique at this year's Cannes Film Festival, Marcela tells the
story of an upper - class housewife whose complicated relationship with her horse - riding instructor forces her to confront her family's complicity in the oppressive regime that
gave her a life of privilege.

Though most behind - the - scenes
features showcase the production process once filming is underway, The Player
gives us a glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes of the behind - the - scenes process, where the only dreams that come true are for the people up top — the people who feel that anyone can make a
story that will entertain millions, while the lowly creators that nurtured the initial ideas are seen as little more then expendable goods hardly worth receiving input from once the studio handlers squeeze their foots in the door, symbolically getting away with murder — the figurative death of the writer in the Hollywood production process.
A delightful debut that's all the more valuable for
giving a voice to an underrepresented segment of the female Turkish population, Erguven's debut directorial
feature (she has a few credits as an actor and a couple of short films prior to this) is a lovely
story of spirited girlhood and rebellion.
It
gives an overview of the
story, Samus» mission on planet SR388 and details the special
features and upgrades obtainable in the re-imagined game.
It's been three years since Nicole Holofcener's lovely previous
feature «Please
Give» (though she's directed episodes of «Parks & Recreation» and «Enlightened» in between), and her latest — hitting TIFF before a late September release date — reunites her with Catherine Keener (who has starred in all of her films) alongside Toni Collette, Julia Louis - Dreyfus and the late James Gandolfini in the
story of divorced woman (Dreyfus) who learns her new love interest (Gandolfini) is her new friend's ex-husband.
This trailer doesn't show off the new
features included in the HD version, but rather focuses on the
