I've made berry
butter for summer pancakes, so I thought why not
give it a go?
The recipe looks long because I
give directions
for making your own seed
butter and chocolate coating, but those two can easily be store - bought
for a quicker prep time.
For the firm oil, you can choose between two: Either any brand of virgin coconut oil, which will leave some coconut flavour in your final
butter or an odourless coconut oil which
gives you the super buttery taste.
Whole Foods used to carry a vegan peanut
butter fudge that was to die
for, but it contained soy and would tend to
give me allergy trouble.
Use slightly chilled
butter and that will
give you more of the «dough» consistency that you are looking
for.
* Side note: I substituted crumbled cookies (that were dairy - free and gluten - free but not completely vegan)
for the chocolate shavings on top of the whipped topping and I used powdered peanut
butter in the So Delicious Coconut Whip Cream on top to
give it a hint Reese's when you take a bite and it's divine.
This «Depression - era» Chocolate Cake has a secret ingredient that was used as an economic substitution
for butter and eggs and it
gives this cake it's super-moist super powers and it's still one of the most preferred chocolate cake recipes out there today!
When they're done I set them aside and then I pan roast the LB using the same skillet, maybe
