Although many will suggest that Robson has a personal vendetta of sorts aimed squarely at the Grinch who stole soccer, that doesn't make his words any less truthful... such tactics are nothing new... in the U.S.this business practice has become so common that even the players regularly use the media to manipulate public opinion (LeBron James did likewise to rally public support for himself and away from his teammate, Kyrie Irving, who has asked to be traded)... whether for contract leverage or to rally support for or against certain players, this strategy can be incredibly effective at times, but when it misses the mark it can be dangerously divisive... for a close - to - the - vest
team like Arsenal to use such nefarious means to manufacture a wedge between the fans and it's best player (again), is absolutely despicable... for the sanctimonious higher - ups who demand that it's players adhere to a certain protocol regarding information deemed «in house» or else to intentionally spread «fake» news or to provide certain outlets with privileged information for such purposes is pretty low indeed... no moral high ground here, just a big club pretending to be a small club so that they can continue to pull the wool over the eyes of a dedicated, albeit somewhat naive, fan

@ 007 good point man but this is purely
based on everyone's view on what factors they judge greatness in my perspective greatness is not only about winning I agree sir Alex was the most successful manager in the history of bpl but if u see the
team he left behind then u will certainly doubt his legacy this is just opposite with arsene after
giving us the hint that he might be leaving at the end of next season the other statement he makes is to leave a platform for incoming manager so that he can do well. This is the difference between him and arsene.

This thing is being
given too much attention. There a lot of players Arsenal passed up on that Mourinho may have also signed you know.In fact there a lot of top players who Arsenal passed up on signing when they were young and for some even matured.Does this mean they aren't good enough?Wenger even regrets passing up on certain players. The fact is that everyone has his
basis for signing or not signing a player.Clearly, Wenger and Mourinho both have their
basis on whether Lacazette was good enough. One player who is deemed average to another
team could be deemed useless to another
team.I just don't know why much attention is being
given to this thing. One thing I know for sure is Laca is a good finisher and that's alk he needs this season. If Lacazette brings his finishing boots this season it's going to be goals galore.
Everyone's making mock drafts — I always make mock schedules
Based on past schedules which usually show some tendencies, as well as the opponents hometown baseball

As soon as he is back and fit, though, the Frenchman will be an automatic starter for us and that will

His hunger has been replaced by contentment, just like the majority of our lads who used to

no one can be that delusional without having Wenger blood run through their veins... this
team has already conceded 2 of 3 in August and you believe we can get 45 of a potentially 52 available points before Xmas... no wonder this club can't seem to take it's fan -
base seriously, albeit I'm sure your assessment would
give the Grinch who stole soccer a quarter chub... anyways, enough talk about the criminally insane with internet access... we have much bigger fish to fry... like what were the real objectives behind the choices made by our lame duck manager on the weekend
Are some of you on here missing a few brain cells as fans There is nothing Arsenal or Wenger can do with the Sanchez situation He wants to leave and has been offered 400k a week in wages who in their right mind is going to turn that down as a player As for blaming wenger who has been our most successful manager helped us build a stadium
gave us 20 years of cl football and some of the best
teams the ol has seen Including the invincible and you all have the Gaul to trash the man as if he has done nothing for the club I suggest you should look at the plastic fans in the Arsenal blogs that have created a toxic atmosphere at the club They attack their own players in a daily
basis why would any top player come to s club where the manager the owners and players are shamelessly attached constantly Yet Wenger wins trophies regularly even them that is derided Look at Spurs Liverpool they win fuk all every year yet their fans back then Look at yourselves and all the negativity that you have created striking the club before you blame Wenger for everything I have been a season ticket holder since the 70s and never have I seen our fanbase been so full of entitled morons who have stopped backing the club and constantly deride the club snd attack it We have the worst fanbase in football you have made this great club a lagging stock in world football All you now us fans constantly moaning If you don't like Arsenal fc then buy out kronke and run the club or fuk off and support someone else You won't be missed Coyg
This is an incredibly difficult question to answer for a variety of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful» style of play has become a shadow of it's former self, only to be replaced by a less than stellar «plug and play» mentality where players play out of position and adjustments / substitutions are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look at our current players, very few would make sense in the traditional Wengerian system... at present, we don't have the personnel to move the ball quickly from deep - lying position, efficient one touch midfielders that can make the necessary through balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards to stretch defences into wide positions, without the aid of the backs coming up into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes in the same clinical fashion we did years ago... on this current squad, we have only 1 central defender on staf, Mustafi, who seems to have any prowess in the offensive zone or who can even pass two zones through so that we can advance play quickly out of our own end (I have seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive qualities but too early to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency to get himself in trouble when he gets overly aggressive on the ball... from our backs out wide, we've seen pace from the likes of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted play of Monreal, but none of these players possess the skill - set required in the offensive zone for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud was playing and his ratio of scored goals per clear chances was relatively low (better last year though)... obviously I like Bellerin's future prospects, as you can't teach pace, but I do worry that he regressed last season, which was obvious to Wenger because there was no way he would have used Ox as the right side wing - back so often knowing that Barcelona could come calling in the off - season, if he thought otherwise... as for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the more confident Xhaka I watched played for the Swiss national
team a couple years ago, who truly makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the ball too long,
gives the ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities on a regular
basis (doesn't score enough recently to justify): that being said, I've always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka is a little too slow to ever boss the midfield and he tends to telegraph his one true strength, his long ball play: although I must admit he did get a bit better during some points in the latter part of last season... it always made me wonder why whenever he played with Coq Wenger always seemed to play Francis in a more advanced role on the pitch... as for Coq, he is way too reckless at the wrong times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself in and around the box far too often... let's face it Wenger was ready to throw him in the trash heap when injuries forced him to use Francis and then he had the nerve to act like this was all part of a bigger Wenger constructed plan... he like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary to satisfy the quick transitory nature of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset needed to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive players can remain aggressive in the final third... on the front end, we have Ozil, a player of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends to offend, the fact that he's been played out of position far too many times since arriving and that the players in front of him, minus Sanchez, make little to no sense considering what he has to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence in Real or the space and protection he receives in the German National
team's midfield, where
teams couldn't afford to focus too heavily on one individual... this player was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components... in regards to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I see them in large part as headless chickens who are on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair to warrant their inclusion in a regular starting eleven; I would say that, of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we went to a back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I had to choose one of those 3 players to stay on it would be Ox due to his potential as a plausible alternative to Bellerin in that wing - back position should we continue to use that formation... in Sanchez, we get one of the most committed skill players we've seen on this squad for some years but that could all change soon, if it hasn't already of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't make sense
given the constructs of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the ball too long and he will
give the ball up a little too often in the offensive zone... a fact that is largely forgotten due to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem to justify the means... finally, and in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there is nothing about this
team or the offensive system that Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a player would make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and, at times, has showed some world - class qualities but he's lack of mobility is an albatross around the necks of our offence... so when you ask who would be our best starting 11, I don't have a clue because of the 5 or 6 players that truly deserve a place in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the other was just sold to Juve... man, this is theraputic because following this
team is like an addiction to heroin without the benefits
I saw someone saying that there is a stat which shows a mammoth difference between Wilshere and Ali.I can tell you for a fact that Arsenal is a
team which
gives youngsters a chance a lot but the waythe youngsters are integrated into the
team is very bad. There is also an injury curse in an Arsenal too.Had Wilshere started his career at Tottenham
given the same chances as Ali and
based on the two reasons I stated he'd have been thrice the player Alli is today.Even Ramsey I blame it on Arsenal.I just imagine him having started his career in a different club who
give chsnces to youngsters except Arsenal.Things would've been different.
However, the Browns would never
give up that much to get Mack because he wouldn't add that level of value to their
team and their fan
base would kill them over it... just like the Raiders fan
base would kill Reggie and Mark for trading away a guy who should spend his entire career in the S&B.
At the same time I feel like the Steelers fans / FO have a right to feel upset if he does walk, because in my opinion they

Even after nearly every season we see a few players emerge and grow right before us when
given a consistent run in the first
team and confidence to build upon fans still jump to ridiculous conclusions
based on a handful of games..
to the London
based fans, you» so lucky to live there and see our beloved club week - in week - out, so enjoy and support your
team.if you were living where I'm living you would
give everything to see a single game of AFC.So thank God and stand behind the
team
We all know that Arsenal can be brilliant and
give any other
team on the planet a run for their money, but we are also too well aware that in recent years we have not done it on a consistent enough
basis to mount a strong enough challenge for the Premier League trophy.
Big 12
teams are often stereotyped — because of the sheer number of plays and max - tempo offenses, defenses have no choice but to
give up large numbers of raw yards and points — but on a per - play
basis, they often check out well.
Like when a
team which cant play attractive possession
based football uses their physical and height advantage over us, that's fair enough, but then when we
give a physical display out ourselves it is like the refs are thinking, no we should know better, and we shouldn't have to rely on these tactics.
Secondly, Wenger needs to become far more flexible when it comes to his formation selections... remember this is the same individual that hadn't used a 3 - back system for 20 years and only conceded to the experiment when the proverbial shit hit the fan... you know it killed him to adopt «Conte's» system, which is probably why he resisted so long; in fact his stubbornness to adjust even earlier might have cost us the 4 hole... much like most sports that have tactical formations, every
team should have a «
base» offensive and defensive scheme, but they likewise need to have some inherent flexibility depending on the opposing
teams tactics and / or when specific substitutions are made... how many times have you watched a Wenger - run
team make a late substitution but not change their shape on the pitch... furthermore, how many times have you seen our
team fail to make the necessary adjustments at halftime due to Wenger's tactical stubbronness, which often led to
giving up goals in the early minutes of the second - half... the best
teams in the world know how to make halftime adjustments whereas we always seem to be surprised when the opposing
team throws a wrinkle into the mix following halftime... this my friend is soccer 101
First and foremost, the goal is to ensure the playing field is level and whomever won a
