Fees and
fines levied by Orange County Animal Services were
given a
hefty increase Tuesday by county commissioners, clearing the way for enforcement of strict new rules for owners of cats and dogs.Last fall, commissioners approved several revisions to the county animal - control ordinance with the aim of reducing unwanted breeding and the number of strays.The changes adopted Tuesday include an increase from $ 10 to $ 25 for registration of fertile cats and dogs.
