the glare of the white background.

We know the machine is
of alien - origin on account
of subtle product - design touches: the
glaring white nothing that makes up the
background; the sterile shine glimmering from the artificial tissue bringing one to mind
of Chris Cunningham's groundbreaking, unsettling video for Bjork's «All is Full
of Love».
This can be resolved, however, by reading
white text on a black
background, which reduces the amount
of light and
glare.
While this may, at first, seem to be
of limited utility, when reading in the dark I found that setting the
background to black and the font to
white (or red) was much easier on my eyes than dealing with the
glare from the
white background even at 10 % brightness.
