In a film of more prepossessing style, the glaring leaps of logic might be easier to overlook, or at least there'd be more incentive to do so, but the cellphone is Soderbergh's enemy as well.
To make such a leapoflogic is to commit the other glaring error often made by proponents of animal rights and environmental ethics: they fail to see that the rights endowed to animals are not identical with the rights of human beings.
