I love this idea... after my divorce, my mom purchased a security
glass storm door so when I had to open, there was at least a barrier between me and the person... I felt much safer.
I, too, have to use something flat due to
the glass storm door!!!
I agree with the ideas of painting the door (either replace with
glass storm door and paint front door or paint screen door).
I have always wanted a basket on my front door but I have one of
those all glass storm doors and I haven't found a basket depth wise that will fit.
