In the meantime, at BESA, we are committed to
working with members of the
global EdTech eco-system, UK EdTech suppliers, the Department for
Education's EdTech team, the Department for International Trade and school
leaders to help ensure that technology that supports teaching and learning is given the attention it deserves.
I will illustrate how technology is central to the
work of the
global education movement examining how it enabled the study of the
leaders of such movement I just completed.
These include $ 600,000 for
Education Development Center (EDC), a
global nonprofit organization, to
work with each district to assess the quality of its
leader training programs using a tool previously developed by EDC with Wallace support.
Founded in 1901 on the tenets of progressive
education, the school currently enrolls 940 students and employs 200 dedicated faculty and staff members who, in addition to assistant teachers, substitute teachers and coaches,
work together to ensure that the School lives up to its Mission to «educate students to think and act with empathy, courage and clarity as responsible citizens and
leaders in a democratic society and
global community.»
