The Fermi Gamma - ray Space Telescope has detected
a glow around the centre of the galaxy, which some researchers think could be caused by particles of dark matter crashing together and being annihilated around the black hole at the centre of the Milky Way.

One shows a
glow from the galactic
centre that may be caused by particles of dark matter colliding and then annihilating
around the black hole there.
The resulting
glow around naturally occurring black holes, such as the one at the
centre of our galaxy, would be too dim to see.
Reason being that it can provide a directed light when hung over the
centre of a table whilst diffusing a soft
glow of light
around the rest of the room.
