Even without
gluten problems in our family I want to try some gluten free products.

Nothing about that has changed but the sharing of it, either at a friend or relatives», or just spontaneously going out to eat, has shifted dramatically
in the last decade as I began to develop more tactics for avoiding eating with others, or later, when I realized many of my health
problems were attributed to food intolerances, and most friends and

My main
problems were anxiety (partly as a result of anxiety over whether I should be
gluten free or not as I feel it restricts my life so much and alienates me from the rest of my
family — I have a history of eating disorders and
in general try to avoid «all or nothing» rules) and feeling tired, cold hands although I always have these
in winter and tiredness could be due to busy life, young children etc, and intermittent constipation.
The main
problems with oats are the phytic acid and the avenin, a protein
in the prolamine
family (along with
gluten from wheat, rye, and barley, and zein, from corn).
