No one was in the mood to celebrate but I decided to go ahead and the whole family come over just like we did when my grandparents were alive I had thier pictures on the Mantel when everyone got there thing s was rough but they seen the pictures and we all started to talk about the good times.
My fireplace is beautiful, grey and beige and brown stone but if I had it to do over again would just go with a white mantel.

My friend and I are working on a similar projct but mine is going to be with heavy ribbon mixed with delicate ribbon & hang over my antique headboard as I have no mantel in my little house by the sea.
As I look back at my family room mantel over the years, I realize how thankful I am that I've captured it as it's gone through an evolution of sorts.
