I'm so excited to have shown you my little slice of the Pacific Northwest with my winter Christmas
mantel here today and I'm thrilled to be teaming up with these fabulous bloggers who are
going to show you just how varied decorating styles can be all
over North America.
Since this is Steevenson's first Christmas with us, I
went with a «home» theme with my decorating this year... Tiny houses from the Dollar Spot at Target and the discount ornament bin at Michaels on the
mantel...... and some pops of red and green
over by the gallery wall: I still need to cover up -LSB-...]
I told myself I wasn't
going to post my
mantel this year, but then Barb
over at The Everyday Home Blog started organizing a Fall Home Tour Blog Hop.
Since this is Steevenson's first Christmas with us, I

No one was in the mood to celebrate but I decided to
go ahead and the whole family come
over just like we did when my grandparents were alive I had thier pictures on the
Mantel when everyone got there thing s was rough but they seen the pictures and we all started to talk about the good times.
My fireplace is beautiful, grey and beige and brown stone but if I had it to do
over again would just
go with a white
mantel.

My friend and I are working on a similar projct but mine is
going to be with heavy ribbon mixed with delicate ribbon & hang
over my antique headboard as I have no
mantel in my little house by the sea.
As I look back at my family room
mantel over the years, I realize how thankful I am that I've captured it as it's
gone through an evolution of sorts.
If you like a full
mantel or one that is
over the top —
go for it.
