I'm certain I can make a bigger list showing 10
goal a season strikers did not go on the win the league.
A thirty goal a season striker doesn't win you trophies if other members of the team not scoring.
Not exact matches
But we simply don't have the same quality all over the pitch or at least in 2 areas that could've made the difference: 1) The
strikers: I like all 3 of our player but Giroud for all his build up play, physical presence & occasional wonder
goal but he is not a 30
goals /
season striker a ruthless guy that will bury that one occasion.
Yes Giroud is not a 30
goal a
season striker, but he
does have his place, when we are struggling to get the ball out of our own half as a target man, and in set pieces, and defence, and he
does score the odd
goal from free play as well.
Giroud misses more than he hits, Walcott has NEVER delivered his expected talent, Welbeck will NEVER be the
striker to score 20
goals a
season Coqellin will NOT go a whole
season injury or suspension free, Sanchez and Ozil WILL have down period during the
season, all teams have these problems to a greater or lesser degree but most of the top teams will address these problems and players either inprove or are sold and replaced with better or at least more consistant players, NOT Wenger he keeps
doing the same thing over and over with the same players and he expects a different result but gets the same outvome time and time again, yet its ALWAYS someone else's fault be it the Ref or the linesman or the opposition or bad luck or whatever and whoever and its NEVER the fact that HE has
done nothing to change the situation and LOOKS LIKELY to not change it next time around.
Wenger got a Japanese
striker and we still have Sanogo, Giroud, Walcott (lost soul and useless as we know), Wellbeck (coming back one day) and Akpom (who is systematically loaned every
season because he clearly
does not have the level)... That is the answer «the deluded one» will automatically give you... And he is right... That is a lot of
strikers even though none or most of them can not find the path to the
goal
goodness i can't believe it people will still defend him.You know something when Giroud misses many chances like at Monaco i
did not criticize him even based on that you know why?its because he has always not been clinical. The only way a team can improve is by indentifying its problems and solving them.Arsenal has Giroud as the main cf and Welbeck as backup to him.Giroud has
done well scoring some
goals some too important but collectively he
does more harm than good.
Do not use moments to judge a player judge him based on content.Giroud
does not excel in many games than he excels in games. As a main cf you need to be consistent.I see people here saying Giroud can not dribble he cant
do this he cant
do that but its a bit crazy to criticize him for that because every player has his own style.Giroud limitations as a player costs arsenal and will cost us a lot. Most importantly his poor finishing which has cost us several times. Not good enough. His style of play is ok for us but a
striker who can take on players and run behind defences very well would make us very strong and also should be clinical. For Welbeck he needs to works on his finishing and composure by
doing the basic things right. He rushes infront of
goal too much. For now he is just above average. However he can excel if he works on improving.Giroud and Welbeck will always be a pain in arsenal's neck for most part. Some will call me stupid but hey at least i want to analyze the problem.People may support Giroud or Welbeck to lead the line next
season but as the saying goes if you fool me once shame on you but if you fool me twice shame on me.Will you let Giroud and Welbeck fool you again?
We don't need Pedor we have Sanchez and Walcott who can each score +20
goals a
season, we need a
STRIKER.
Striker - We need a goal machine to be putting in those crucial goals be it a new young striker or a mature (not to old) striker... if Theo and Giroud can replicate what they have done so far this season next season any additional goals would push us closer to the title (or retaining the

that tactic worked fantastically at the star of this
season where walcott performed and it worked brilliantly for the team but after the injury of Theo, giroud had his dry patch and theo almost
did nt even try... and the year before welbeck played reaaaally bad as a starting
striker and scored 4
goals or something i think, if he had one worldclass or equally good
striker as giroud, we would have enough and wenger could rotate them according to the patch / form of giroud like what he intended to
do with walcott and giroud, which i had high hopes for but sadly only worked for half the
season
But seeing our current
strikers got written off so easily by fan just piss me off Giroud is not there with Aguero, Rooney, Costa — But I take him over Dzeko, Remy, Falcao (at MU last
season) Walcott may or may not be the answer, we don't know yet, the last few games look very promising — writing him off as not be able to play as Center Forward or can not hit the 20 +
goals per
season now is premature.
He can score 30
goals a
season but still i don't think that we can win league with him... When he scores only he scores, but Arsenal as a team doesn't look dangerous, I really prefer a dynamic kind
striker like welback, Who can make runs from behind the Str
striker like welback, Who can make runs from behind the

I got a lot of thumbs down for my previous comment but In my mind I have to ask why we are looking at yet another winger / Midfielder when what we should have been
doing is seeking out a 25
goal a
season striker.
the only thing our
strikers (whoever it will be) need to
do is to convert created chances which we had plenty last
season and we are going to have them this
season too... So, I'll put it simple: we need a
striker that doesn't s ** t his pants when he get in front of the
goal and hit the g ** d ** n target and score
goals!!!!!!!!
The ex-Man United
striker Danny Welbeck joined Arsenal in the
season of 2014/15 but in those four years he has only managed to actually start 40 League games for the Gunners, due to various injuries, but he
did score 13
goals in those matches and has always showed promise until he inevitably returns to the treatment room.
we again need about three world class players and in my opinion that includes a genuine Iron man DM with intelligence as well as muscle, a genuine world class 30
goal a
season striker, the likes of which will turn a game around when its looking bad, and with the fall of Santi Cazorla looking ever more imminant we also now need a genuine creative midfielder (why
did nt Wenger get Cesc when he was an option?)
A 20 to 30 league
goal striker would be great, hes probably not going to hit target in every
season just like you cant expect to win every
season but so long as its a regular occurrence, hell
do nicely.
I think every arsenal fan agrees with you we should sign a
striker who gets 30 - 35
goals a
season all you have to
do now is name one (realistically).
Saido Berahino The English
striker has five
goals and two assists this
season, and if you made the mistake of benching him for his tricky fixtures last week (as I
did), you'll definitely play him now, despite the prospect of Manchester United.
Your Darling Alexis played the
striker role this
season with good return of
goals, but we didn't win the league and end up fifth for the first time.
He is a
striker that Arsenal
do desperately need, because ultimately we
do need a player who can score 20 +
goals a
season in the league alone, if we are to be ambitious of winning the league.
I strongly feel that our
strikers are
doing a good job; that is why we have scored over 50
goals this
season.
Morinho had Tores, Ba and Eto who altogether had a good
goal distribution last year but they all appeared incapable of scoring
goals when the entire under perform with few chances presented to them and Morinho without any hesitation said we will not win the league this year because we don't have a proper
striker and allowed Ba, Eto and Torres to leave at the end of the
season.
something new for sure will happen at the very least we will be getting new players the question being who...... a
striker with 30
goals abomyang a central defender a midfielder new maneger who diago simone will
do well with atlatico or lazio he is connected to them arsenal needs some one within its ranks some one connected to them But today we seen an ugly encounter were certain players should have had the red i think technology should come in to it and players should be disciplined after The premier league is a physical strong competition to win it you got to be very strong very accurate and very demanding and if you
do not have the team to
do it you
do not win our team didn't live to exceptions of last
season so there for changes will have to happen
He won trophies with guys like Henry, Bergkamp, Ian Wright All the PL winning teams had very good to great
strikers ie Vardy, Costa, Aguero, RVP, Rooney, Ronaldo, Drogba, Tevez, Van Nistleroy, Henry, Bergkamp, Ian Wright All these
strikers have scored over 20
goals in a
season Very rarely
do PL Champions have a
striker who scores less than 20
goals and mostly score in the mid 20's Wenger doesn't understand this and wants to believe its not necessary or He probably believes Giroud is WC Top teams usually have a backup of Giroud's quality Look at Spurs.
I expect Giroud to be our main
striker even if he doesn't score 1 single
goal next
season.
If a 15
goal striker at R. Madrid, Bayern or Barca works it doesn't apply to our team aswell (Barca and RM have 1 attacking player who bangs in 50
goals a
season alone and Bayern has 2 to 3 attacking players who bang in 15 each or so and we don't have such to cover for our misfiring ST during those tricky games).
you sound very naive, Lvg is saying this so that teams don't overcharge them when they buy a
striker as they will. Are you really trying to compare Rooney who has scored 30
goals in a
season to Giroud who can't even score 20?
Drogba averaged about 14
goals a
season in all competitions for 6 out of 8
seasons at Chelsea,
does that change the fact that Drogba was one of the EPL's most feared
strikers in his prime?
Giroud scored 16 league
goals, he's been the main
striker for 4
seasons but didn't score the
goals required to win the title so he's better off as a sub to come change the game as Plan B!
Don't think we'll start the
season without a big name player whether a
striker or a
goal scoring winger
... he played there against crystal palace, Everton 2
season ago and it was a disaster... our build up is majorly
done closer to d centre circle than d oppositions box... that's y girouds hold up play is vital... either we go with dat path or we look for a
striker who is lightning quick (so when we make d final pass, it doesn't get wasted), uses both legs to shoot on sight, with good accuracy... playing Sanchez, who is not very good with his back to
goal as a 9 is useless and though fast, holds on to d ball a lot tryn to get d best angle to shoot... we need a
striker who is very intelligent with d timing of his runs... too bad Walcott is as intelligent as a sheep, cld have been d perfect cf...
Last
season we needed a
striker and DM Coquelin's injury killed us and Giroud / Theo didn't score enough
goals Cazorla's injury hurt us too but Wenger got Xhaka so we don't need DM (even though he can play both B2b / DM)
I don't think a team needs a 20
goal striker to win as long as they have
goals coming from the midfield and I think Giroud has improved all three
seasons and would have been close to if not at 20
goals without his broken foot this
season.
Diego Costa gave Cheski this
season what they needed, he scored
goals in an important match, remember the match arsenal played against chelski at the bridge, arsenal dominated the game and Costa was anonymous almost on the entire game but just a single chance he got from Fabrigas pass, he killed us and that is what a Top
striker needed to
do.
when u have one of the best
strikers of the moment for 50 million euros plus your
striker that
does nt even make the tally of 20
goals a
season in the league, you take it
Yedder is known as a goalscoring talent in France and has scored 70
goals in four
seasons, a mean feat for any
striker, let alone a player who doesn't get the best of service from his teammates.
but for matters of discussion, a will say these, Mourinho really knows how to get the best out of
strikers == > drogba, eto, benzema (34 liga
goals when he was manager at madrid), an average milito, costa etc and i don't know why but i feel that falcao may light the pl next
season based on the fact that he himself wants to show everyone what hes got... we must buy another
striker who has a better assist
goal ratio because a
Why don't you just score 30
goals for us like all the other 30
goal a
season strikers??
If you want a
striker that'll go goalless for 4 months in a row and still end up with an decent tally of 15 - 20
goals per
season then Giroud will
do the job just right.
He is a very good
striker and if he had to start he would
do fine I am sick to death of defending him Giroud has scored 3
goals in 5 PL matches (as a sub) He has scored 2 CL goals so far 87 Goals Total for us since he joined # 1 last season in headed goals in the PL 6th Top scorer last season with 16 goals (taking into account a 12 match goalless spell) He is far fro

Ozil top assists three
seasons in a row, twice in the BPL, yet
do we have any
strikers with top
goals?
, you have never scored more than 16
goals in a
season for us, you've divided the fanbase, we struggle with
goals with you around etc... i don't think that a top
striker has those kind of qualities and i sense if a top
striker comes through, then you might be relegated to capital one league only since i favor welbeck for FA... good luck big guy
Man city has d best
striker last
season in Aguero (before you take me on,
strikers are measure by
goals and Aguero was the highest scorer in EPL) y didn't they win d EPL or any trophy?
Whoever it is, we don't just need a 25
goals a
season striker, we need a 25 league
goals a
season striker, looking at 30 - 35
goals in all competitions.
Chelsea's
strikers were shite last
season and Benzema hardly
did much better than Giroud last
season in the
goal scoring department.
Going on past evidence and noting that the «proposed war chest» is 75 million (ironically the same as it was last summer) I would say that we'll likely get a
striker but it wont be a top class one it'll be a lasser known player who Wenger will want to be lauded for if he turns into a 25
goal a
season striker a la Henry
Do nt expect any earth shattering buys cos the majority of that huge cash boost from BT sports will make its way to the boards private accounts.
All we can
do is pray «Mr I know all» comes to the realization that what we just need to complete the puzzle is 1st a 25 — 30
goals a
season striker.
I don't think we necessarily need a 30 - 40
goal a
season striker, I just think we need another
striker capable of putting in 15 - 20 whilst Giroud puts in 20 - 25.
Arsenal don't have a recognised
striker who can score 30
goals a
season.
