going AIP in a few short weeks, it makes all the sense to begin this process now.

Obviously, the autoimmune protocol diet is a very nutrient dense diet so chances are that if you are eating
AIP and you don't have any anatomical issues
going on like insufficient breast tissue, or a lip or tongue tie, then you probably already have a great foundation for building a healthy milk supply.

Just getting that piece started even if you're closer to an
AIP approach, you are already gonna be eliminating a lot of the problematic foods including alcohol.
I
went through both the elimination phase and the reintroduction phase of the
AIP, over the course of 31 months.
Cyrex, for their food sensitivity test, that is — that is cool one, but even then I feel like it's a unnecessary in most cases because if you and I are gonna put somebody on like a
AIP approach, let's say thyroid disease did show up, some Hashimoto's.

Over the past few months I
went 100 % paleo, and completed an
AIP protocol,.
We like to
go car camping with our kids, and it is a challenge with
aip to fit our gear and food in the car for longer trips, especially since my kids tend to be constantly hungry anytime we leave the house.
Some people need to
go dairy - free, some full
AIP, some are doing great by simply avoiding gluten and carbs.
Dos and don'ts abound when it comes to Hashimoto's but all of these fall squarely into the DO N'T category:
Going partially gluten free or
AIP.
AIP does this by
going one step beyond the Paleo diet to exclude an additional number of foods that are known or suspected gut irritants such as eggs, dairy, nuts, seeds, nightshades, excess fructose, food additives, legumes, alcohol and drugs called NSAIDs — which are medications like ibuprofen.
Our
go to cookie recipe is Beyond the Bite's Sugar Cut Out Cookies, and we've made many variations including adding Enjoy Life's Chocolate Chips (not
AIP Compliant have been successfully reintroduced for my daughter... but not me... sniff)
Now, if you haven't tried reintroducing foods on the
AIP, I am
going to suggest you get Eileen Laird's ebook Reintroducing Foods On The Autoimmune Protocol.
However, I firmly believe being able to let
go and allow yourself to indulge, within reason (think
AIP compliant treats), throughout the holiday season, is important to healing.
One of the most challenging aspects of
going on an elimination diet — whether it's Whole30, low FODMAP, the clean program,
AIP or something even simpler — is learning how to navigate the meals that you're not fully in control of.
I actually only
went back to the
AIP with reintroductions phase.
I started researching diet and
went on
AIP, then I saw a new rheumatologist.
Luckily you don't have to
go hungry though on the
AIP diet!
