OK, sorry for the long winded intro this week, but there is a lot
going at this point in the season!

In each of the past six

Wenger has mostly used the second string squad
at the start of any
season to great effect, most teams aren't
at full strength or match fit and he plays that Wengerball numbers game, throwing
in squad players who are fit and raring to
go whilst the first team get ready, we'll win 2 of our 3 opening games and he'd rather that than splash 100m on 3 players and get the same amount of
points.

If we start this
season with those two
in our starting 11 it will be a clear sign from this organization that nothing has changed and that we will never get it right until both Kroenke and Wenger are
gone... neither one of these players should still be with our club
at this
point because they represent the settling half - measures that have plagued this team for a number of years... this is what I call the «no man's land» of the soccer world, where teams don't have enough talented young players, unlike a Monaco or Dortmund, because they have lost the plot from an organizational standpoint... they are so reliant on one individual to run the whole operation that their once relevant scouting department has become so antiquated that it can no longer find those hidden gems it once had... furthermore, when you leave all decision - making to a manager who despises any dissenting opinions, your management team becomes little more than a stagnant group of «yes men» and no new ideas emerge... so instead of developing a team with the qualities necessary to excel
in a particular system, you continually make half - brain purchases year after year to stifle dissent from the ticket - buying public, then try desperately to finagle together a lineup regardless of what would make positional sense... have you ever heard of a team who plays players out of position so often... of course not because that manager would likely be fired and never work for a team of any consequence ever again

But with his workload to this

By far the best article I have ever read on this site, there was no bias or empty statements, just cold hard facts, the writer even respected wengers budget but still
pointed to where he should've improved, there are no excuses, what you read is literrally all u get with arsene, if you gave him a budget of 9m or 1 billion, he will ALWAYS take the risk cause he doesn't give a fk about the consequences as if he was a teenager raging through puberty, his stubborn is absolutely pathetic, can you believe he turned down signing a keeper when almunia was shocking, can you believe he didn't sign a CB when squillaci was awful, can you believe that he REFUSED to sign a CDM for almost 8 years, CAN you believe on one of the most important transfer windows of arsenals history, arsene decided to
go host charity matches
in rome, that's right instead of trying hard for the fans that have respected him and pay him one of the highest managerial wages
in the world, he decided to do what he pleased as usual, cause he doesn't answer to anyone, nor does he giving a flying fk, gazidis a man i thought was also a crook
went and did arsene's job for him and
at least got us a striker (which cost us the title

season) and arsene foolishly proclaims that «if i was here we wouldn't of signed danny» meaning we wouldn't of had ANY recognised cf till giroud recovered, arsene wenger is a joke of the highest order, lack of respect, lack of shame and lack order, i despise him

No matter what happened
in the other Premier League games set to be played this weekend, there was always
going to be a lot of pressure on Arsene Wenger and the Arsenal players after our side had fallen out of the top four and into the worst position
at this
point of a
season for over 10 years.
The board needs to come out and clarify things as well as apologize for the way the

why was Sanchez truly playing... no one believes he was too injured to play to start the
season, and some like myself would
go as far to suggest he wasn't injured
at all... so why play him... they can't say it was to appease the fans because when was that ever a factor
at this club except when «panic buys» were
in the offing... I believe that this was to give Arsenal a little leverage when it comes to negotiating his transfer... just imagine their horrible bargaining position if Sanchez never saw the field before the deadline then heading back to South America and played for Chile... regardless of the facts, this was sadly again another example of a team putting business ahead of fielding a team with the greatest chance to secure 3
points... of course, some will say that Sanchez is, or was, our best player, so obviously he's a no - brainer to start, but those who really watch the game know that his heart hasn't been truly
in it for quite some time... even
at the end of last
season you could see a definitive difference between the Sanchez who played for Chile and the one that played for Arsenal... that being said, 70 % of Sanchez is still better than a 100 % of the vast majority of our remaining roster... shame on you Arsene and shame on you too Sanchez for that telling smirk... I've supported your attempt to push this squad to the next level but don't pretend for a second that you didn't know you were being watched... don't lower your standards or you'll end up like this club, on the outside looking

Sadly that didn't
go as planned for City and now they are
in a straight fight with Arsenal for automatic qualification to next
seasons Champions League, and if they beat the Gunners this weekend they will leapfrog Arsenal into third on goal difference with just one game to play, so Arsene Wenger will be desperate to get
at least a
point to keep us
in the driving seat.
Last
season they first lost 75 - 74, and then
in a January rematch had them down by 18
points before the momentum turned and they finally fell, 112 - 104, only a month before the Bulldogs would
go on to a shot
at the NAIA Division II national title.
If we can push on from that performance and
go on the sort of run that we normally see from Arsenal
at this

VanVleet missed a game - winning shot

San Francisco takes on Philly (combined 74

season)
at home next week, meaning Jim Harbaugh and Colin Kaepernick are
going to need to figure out how to score
in the second half if they want to avoid a 1 - 3 record.
This is an incredibly difficult question to answer for a variety of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful» style of play has become a shadow of it's former self, only to be replaced by a less than stellar «plug and play» mentality where players play out of position and adjustments / substitutions are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look
at our current players, very few would make sense
in the traditional Wengerian system...
at present, we don't have the personnel to move the ball quickly from deep - lying position, efficient one touch midfielders that can make the necessary through balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards to stretch defences into wide positions, without the aid of the backs coming up into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes
in the same clinical fashion we did years ago... on this current squad, we have only 1 central defender on staf, Mustafi, who seems to have any prowess
in the offensive zone or who can even pass two zones through so that we can advance play quickly out of our own end (I have seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive qualities but too early to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency to get himself
in trouble when he gets overly aggressive on the ball... from our backs out wide, we've seen pace from the likes of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted play of Monreal, but none of these players possess the skill - set required
in the offensive zone for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud was playing and his ratio of scored goals per clear chances was relatively low (better last year though)... obviously I like Bellerin's future prospects, as you can't teach pace, but I do worry that he regressed last
season, which was obvious to Wenger because there was no way he would have used Ox as the right side wing - back so often knowing that Barcelona could come calling
in the off -
season, if he thought otherwise... as for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the more confident Xhaka I watched played for the Swiss national team a couple years ago, who truly makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the ball too long, gives the ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities on a regular basis (doesn't score enough recently to justify): that being said, I've always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka is a little too slow to ever boss the midfield and he tends to telegraph his one true strength, his long ball play: although I must admit he did get a bit better during some
points in the latter part of last
season... it always made me wonder why whenever he played with Coq Wenger always seemed to play Francis
in a more advanced role on the pitch... as for Coq, he is way too reckless
at the wrong times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself
in and around the box far too often... let's face it Wenger was ready to throw him
in the trash heap when injuries forced him to use Francis and then he had the nerve to act like this was all part of a bigger Wenger constructed plan... he like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary to satisfy the quick transitory nature of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset needed to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive players can remain aggressive
in the final third... on the front end, we have Ozil, a player of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends to offend, the fact that he's been played out of position far too many times since arriving and that the players
in front of him, minus Sanchez, make little to no sense considering what he has to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence
in Real or the space and protection he receives
in the German National team's midfield, where teams couldn't afford to focus too heavily on one individual... this player was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived
in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components...
in regards to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I see them
in large part as headless chickens who are on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair to warrant their inclusion
in a regular starting eleven; I would say that, of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we
went to a back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the
season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I had to choose one of those 3 players to stay on it would be Ox due to his potential as a plausible alternative to Bellerin
in that wing - back position should we continue to use that formation...
in Sanchez, we get one of the most committed skill players we've seen on this squad for some years but that could all change soon, if it hasn't already of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't make sense given the constructs of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the ball too long and he will give the ball up a little too often
in the offensive zone... a fact that is largely forgotten due to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem to justify the means... finally, and
in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there is nothing about this team or the offensive system that Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a player would make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and,
at times, has showed some world - class qualities but he's lack of mobility is an albatross around the necks of our offence... so when you ask who would be our best starting 11, I don't have a clue because of the 5 or 6 players that truly deserve a place
in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the other was just sold to Juve... man, this is theraputic because following this team is like an addiction to heroin without the benefits
We don't likely see him this year, but with Smoak and Morales both
going into next
season without a contract
in 2020, there could easily be spot for him
at some
point next year if he can get back on track this year.
There were no FAB 50 rankings

Starting
at their 21 - yard line, less than two minutes to
go with two timeouts left, down three
points, the Baltimore Ravens»
season came down to Joe Flacco's ability to lead them
in a winning drive.
Sell him and use the proceeds to get Van Dijk, you might think he is a luxury
at this
point but when you consider that Mert and KOs are already over 30 and increasingly injury prone, the glut of reliable coordinators we think we have
in defence can quickly disappear like Cazorla
in Midfield last
season to the
point where even Wilshere had to
go on loan.
Even after Suarez and the 40 million plus one saga where he was clearly angling for a move to us, the Kop still gave him a standing ovation during a pre-
season game, a gesture I believed
went a long way
in making him stay
at least for that
season and give his absolute best to the club even if it were inevitable that he was
going to leave
at some
point because the club clearly did not match his ambitions.
people are
pointing out that is Kroenke's fault but the reality is Koroenke did not buy yaya Sanogo, Kallstrom, Park Yung and last year Takuma Assano (loaned to germany) to mention few of the average players got
in transfers.Kroenke gave 100 million last summer so why not
going for Abumayang
at that time for 60 - 70 millions or Lacaztte (40 — 50 reports
in Spain indicate he's
going to Atletico) and another 30 - 40 millions for DM (we got Xhaka but i believe next
season the guy will be much better) so the lack of reinforcing the Key positions needed is his fault.
But Johnsonis quick to

I think the
point to all of this is if you sign your players early, they bed into the team, join
in pre-
season games and are ready to
go at the start of the
season.
The way this
season has
gone in the EPL or around the world this
season makes you think if AW would have paid for 3 outfield players we would be
at least 9 - 12
points clear.
Our
season is
in need of saving
at present, having fallen to five
points off the top four, and our best bet on playing Champions League football looks like winning the Europa League, although there is still a long way to
go in the competition.
I seem to remember early last
season going through this same scenario, when we were even further behind the League leaders (
in fact relegation was mentioned
at one
point) but our «despicable manager» turned it around, brought Arsenal all the way back up to Third Place, and helped us to retain the FA Cup before the
seasons end.
These games tend to happen earlier
in the
season when FBS teams are playing FCS teams, and this year 30 +
point road dogs have
gone an astounding 51 - 20
ATS for +27 units.
At that
point our
season was looking
in deep trouble but Ospina stepped up
in style and helped us to
go on a great run which saw us improve on the usual fourth place and win a second FA cup
in a row.
All our summer signings are doing well, we are much better than last
season going forward (although more suspected
in defence) The official hate us —
at Everton now Hull, 4 more
points -15 total and things would be completely different, that's how close it is.
If u are an arsenal fan u wil realise there are two parts
in an arsenal
season... the first part is when we are winning and we think that we are the best team
in the world
at that
point Wenger is a god and every Arsenal playr is a world class player
at this
point also Arsenal need no signings... then the 2nd part is when reality hits us hard
in the face, we are eliminated
in all competetion injuries come
in and everyone is singing WENGER MUST
GO... haha i ges
at this time we are
in the 1st part, we nid no signings and the squad is good enaf, there will be no injuries the whole
season and Arsenal will win the EPL and the Cl next year hehe!
Celtic have been extremely dominant
in the Scottish Premiership this
season, managing a staggering 91
points in 33 games,
going unbeaten across the campaign thus far, but this is the Old Firm Derby, so there's always everything
at stake.
Using Bet Labs software, I found that second half underdogs of
at least 7 -
points have
gone 131 - 90
ATS (59.3 %)
in regular
season games.
Our research found that teams who have held their opponent to under 60 -
points in consecutive games have
gone 64 - 34
ATS (65.3 %) including a 5 - 1
ATS record this
season.
But yet again we have a horrendous streak of giving up
point to everyone like an open bar while we are
in front row seat looking
at the
season going away... And that is not because we bought / didn't bought players.
Both inherited programs
at low

in 1998 and
went 4 - 19
in Ferentz's first two
seasons (1999 - 00), while Wake Forest had
gone to two bowls
in 20 years pre-Grobe — and both turned fortunes around significantly.
Marseille have been impressive this
season under the guidance of maverick head coach Marcelo Bielsa and could
go seven
points clear
at the top of the French top tier with victory
in the capital.
my expectations are pretty low for this
season, all im hoping for
at this
point is we draft well but knowing this team we're gonna take ridley

in the 2nd
After recording one of their most impressive performances of the
season in a 1 - 0 win over Leicester City, Liverpool found themselves
going up against 19th - ranked Sunderland with a chance
at three easy
points.
Plus, we all know that we are
going to be short
in (add positions here)
at some
point in the
season, due to injuries!
Chelsea will no doubt pose the bigger test, especially having to travel to them, but both are huge games
at a pivotal
point in our
season, and a win on Thursday could give us a needed boost before
going to Stamford Bridge.
