gone through toilet training say 2 things helped most
in convincing youngsters to leave diapers behind: (1) an older sibling and (2) a book or DVD that made the
potty seem fun.
Day two was a little tricker
in the sense that Matt had two children to wrangle (though only one that was actively
going through the
potty - training process), but already our son
seemed like he had picked up on the idea of what was happening.
But after having a crappy Day where it
seemed like All I was doing was changing Diapers (i have Two boys 16mons apart) i Took all the diapers an Hid them tight before bed time an told him
in the Morning he was gonna be a big Boy an
go in the
potty.
But he
seems to have no awareness of what's
going on, has never peed
in the
potty, and when you take his pants off all he wants to do is play at retracting his foreskin.
I celebrate when she does
go in the
potty, just does not
seem to be doing much.
We keep a couple
potties around the house, and when he
seems to be signaling that he needs to
go, or if he just hasn't
gone in awhile, i'll set him on the
potty!
My son was not
potty trained until he was almost 4 years old.He was a very active boy, and it
seemed that he just didn't want to take the time to
go to the bathroom /
potty when he could just
go in his diaper and keep on playing.I did spend time putting him on his
potty chair, and eventually the toilet but he would never
go, yet as soon as a diaper was on, he's dirty it.And I felt like a horribly mean mother for making him sit there for so long.So, I decided to just let him do it when he wanted to.
After that he
seemed to turn a corner and all his poos started
going in the
potty.
I have noticed when my son sits on it the shield doesn't
seem high enough but he's never actually
gone potty in it.
A subplot about Handy and President Cole running against each other
in some contrived mayoral race that showcases every variety of quirky senior citizen (the nudist, the
potty - mouthed old biddy usually played by Betty White, the sassy ethnic earth mama, usually Asian or black) doesn't
go anywhere and just makes an already laboured piece
seem interminable.
Puppies need to
go potty frequently;
in some cases it
seems they need to
go constantly!
