Books are always my decorating weapon of choice, so I stacked a few with the hues of the season, and topped them with a simple
gold painted pumpkin.
If you saw yesterday's post, you got a glimpse of
the gold painted pumpkins used in the dining room for a fall decor display.

Gold spray -
painted pumpkins make beautiful centerpieces, and mini-
pumpkins can be used as place cards.
I used green,
gold and copper micas to
paint my DIY
pumpkin spice soap.
A
pumpkin from Michael's got some
gold spray
paint while the craft
pumpkin was just left neutral.
For the
gold pumpkins, I taped off half the
pumpkins and used
gold spray
paint.
I had planned to do a
gold, orange, and an almond colored
pumpkin, but my brand new almond spray
paint decided to not work, so I improvised.
In order to make my metallic glitter
pumpkins I picked up some metallic silver
paint -LCB- they also have
gold too! -RCB-
Then I
painted each
pumpkin silver and while they were wet, I sprinkled a combination of
gold and silver glitter all around them.
I've
painted pumpkins to, which I love, but I think this year I'll try
gold leafing a
pumpkin to get the same shine as these
pumpkins, but add even more shine to them.
The centerpiece is a gilded
pumpkin candle glowing atop a
gold painted pedestal dish.
And, speaking of the hot tool — I also made three Tribal Halloween
Pumpkins with the hot tool, a DecoArt stencil and
gold paint.
Just
pumpkins and DIY materials such as thumbtacks,
paint,
gold foil, stencils and Sharpie pens.
And the
gold was a little intense, so I dry - brushed the
pumpkins with some white DecoArt craft
paint, to tone down the
gold a little.
Your
pumpkins are wonderful, I have not seen them
painted gold before, Fantastic!!
I love decorating for fall — especially with
pumpkins that are spray
painted gold or something.
The old olive bucket filled with
gold and white chalk
painted pumpkins, a few branches, and wheat keeps things simple and casual.
With the remaining white
pumpkins, I just took an old toothbrush and dipped it in Martha Stewart metallic
gold craft
paint and brushed the
paint on the top part of the
pumpkin.
I picked up these
pumpkins last year and spray
painted them
gold.
Once your
pumpkins are wrapped with rubber bands, spray
paint your
pumpkins gold.
The white
pumpkins were already white, but I sprayed the little orange one with some leftover
gold spray
paint and then rubbed some of Miss Mustard Seed's antiquing wax onto it to make it look kind of like old brass:

This
pumpkin is
painted in gorgeous shades of light, medium, and dark teal to create an Ombre look and then just a hint of glitter surrounds the
gold - colored stem on the top.
Bringing together the fresh look of teal and white, combined with
gold / brown / ivory of the burlap bow, and you've got one more option for your
painted pumpkin collection this autumn.
For the tablescape, I put down a new
gold runner, collected pretty candlestick holders, fall colored candles, larger
pumpkins for the center of the table that I spray
painted a metallic
gold / silver color, natural looking placemats, china, a wine glass and pretty
gold goblet (complete with an orange straw for sipping!)

gold last year, a brass ram I bartered with Sarah for, a thrifted squirrel and tree vase I
painted white years ago, feathers, a brass candlestick, and a little white
pumpkin.
