He is a great fullback but not quite as
good as wingback.
I disagree.A wingback can be viewed as a defensive winger.Whether the Ox likes it or not he's been blessed with the qualities of a winger. To me that's his best position. He's only doing
well as a wingback because of his attacking abilities. As I said earlier a wingback can be viewed as a sort of defensive winger. That's why CB's who are used as RB or LB can not play wingback.Wingback needs the player to be able to adapt himself like a winger while also being solid defensively.Ox has the attacking part but not the defensive part. With Bellerin we have the best of both worlds. He can attack, defend and also has the speed necessary to play wingback.I fear Ox being played at wingback will cost us when we play teams with tricky wingers. He should rather be challenging Sanchez or Ozil for their positions and not wingback. The guy hates to always have to defend which in truth he can't.

well there because he's able to play like a winger. However, if you ask me he's terrible defensively. But I like the fact that he tracks back when he plays

I've realised people are confusing fullback and
wingback assuming them to almost be the same.A
wingback can be viewed
as a more defensive winger whiles a fullback is just a player put near the sides of the centre fullback.Their roles are clearly very different and
well defined. That's why you'll consider Ox at RWB and not RB.We need to switch back to 4 -2-3-1 to get the

wingbacks even in this formation. It also seems to me that lots of people here believe if you're
good at right or left fullback then automatically you're
good at RWB / LWB which quite frankly is untrue. That's why Oxlade Chamberlain can be considered at RWB but not right back.At RWB or LWB you're asking too much in terms of attack from Bellerin and Kolasinac.A proper wing back can be viewed
as a more defensive winger which quite frankly none of them are and they don't possess the flexibility too to play that way.Our midfielders are also not disciplined enough because in 3 back there's a huge gap in the centre of the field that must be covered by our CM's so indiscipline only means disaster. We also have Ozil who looks like he's playing at RW in 3 back.In that we're limiting his impact because Ozil takes on his man because he wants to not because he likes to.You can't play such players at the wing. He's a proper No. 10 who likes to be given freedom. That's why Ozil plays likes he's lazy on the ball and stuff. It's because he wants to be free and for that you need to put him at No. 10.

Our
wingbacks getting upfield and crossing seemed pointless (crossing actually getting
better), high balls up field seemed pointless and sanchez positioning on the counters was also pointless; Sanchez got the benefit of more space because besiktas was pushing forward for an equaliser in the second half, however we will not have the same opportunities n other games, i strongly feel he would have a joy ride on the leftside of our attack, with sanago or a new signing like a welbeck
as the focal point.
