I learned this not from a class in feminist studies, but from Jesus — who was brought into the world by a woman whose obedience changed everything; who revealed his identity to a scorned woman
at a
well; who defended Mary of Bethany as his true disciple, even though women were prohibited from studying under rabbis
at the time; who obeyed his mother; who refused to condemn the woman caught in adultery to death; who looked to women for financial and moral support, even after the male disciples abandoned him; who said of the woman who anointed his feet with perfume that «wherever this gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her»; who bantered with a Syrophoenician woman, talked theology with a Samaritan woman, and
healed a bleeding woman; who appeared first before women after his resurrection, despite the fact that their culture deemed them unreliable witnesses; who charged Mary Magdalene with the great responsibility of announcing the start of a new creation, of becoming the Apostle to the Apostles.
The Gospels have in their way met this problem, not only by placing the kerygma on Jesus» lips, but also by presenting individual units from the tradition in such a way that the whole gospel becomes visible:
At the call of Levi, we hear (Mark 2.17): «I came not to call the righteous, but sinners»; at the healing of the deaf - mute, we hear (Mark 7.37): «He has done all things well; he even makes the deaf hear and the dumb speak.&raqu

at least where I'm

good works, christian unity, salvation, grace, faith
healing, being culturally relevant, the gospel, the resurrection, religion vs. relationship, tithing, worship, reverence, christian music, legalism, old vs. new covenant, Paul's conversion, miracles, gifts of the spirit, sign gifts, tongues, nativity, the disciples, crucifixion, materialism, mysticism, new age, atheism, i could probably list about 50 more if I thought about it.
Be very mindful how you pin a name on your brother sister; remember the church is there the burden and those who have sinned yet we become so eager to judge; the word has already judged him, God
at this very moment is dealing with him in ways that no man can as we judge him, we have judged ourself, we can easily forgive when his sin is like ours, but when it is not; they killed CHRIST CAUSE HE SAID HE COULD RISE THE TEMPLE IN THREE DAYS; to the people of that day and time it was a lie; as we forgive him we are forgive ourselves for believing in man and not the word; the word is still true, and God can still use him; but we must believe and fellow the word God no matter what; God has a way of making something
good out of what is bad; that where the hope comes in; the faith in blessed redemption;

Jeremy have been asking the holy spirit for his help with this and in regards to the lame man that Jesus
healed I do nt believe that sin was the issue for him just like the blind man was it his parents or did he sin the answer was neither but so that God would be glorified. What was the sin that may have been worse for him.The two situations are related of the woman caught in adultery the key words being go and sin no more only two references in the bible and will explain later the lame man we see
at first his dependency on everyone else for his needs he cant do it he is in the
best position to receive Gods grace but what does he do with it.Does he follow Jesus no we are told he goes to the temple and Jesus finds him now that he has his strength to do things on his own what his response to follow the way of the pharisees that is what is worse than his condition before so he is warned by go and sin no more.We get confused because we see the word sin but the giver of is speaking to him to go another way means death.Getting back to the two situations of the woman caught in adultery and the lame man here we see a picture of our hearts on the one our love for sin and on the other the desire to work out our salvation on our terms they are the two areas we have to submit to God.My experience was the self righteousness was the harder to deal with because it is linked in to our feelings of self worth and self confidence so we have to be broken so we are humble enough to realise that without God we can do nothing our flesh hates that so it is a struggle
at first to change our way of thinking.brentnz
She may
well in end up leading a church one day where she preaches Jesus like a woman on fire and lays hands on the sick and watches God
heal them, though this will surprise those Reformed colleagues who are sure all female church leaders have been trained by godless - Unitarian - lesbian - leftist - radical feminist - seminarians (she didn't have access to seminary
at all — unfortunately she has read the Acts of the Apostles).
I'll start to practice loving the
best way I know, with the people I trust to show me the way forward, and hope that we can make space for God, over and over, to sweep in with
healing, wholeness, a spirit - wind of unity and love, as an outpost of the way of Jesus, one daily completely unglamorous step
at a time.
I lean towards the third view... but I admit it is the most difficult of the three views... Christ's priorities appear to be «love in motion» flowing in almost unpredictable directions as dictated by the greatest need: — He
heals a slave rather than rebukes slavery; — He
heals a man
at a pool, then leads the man to belief, then says «cease from sinning»; — He
heals many others and says «go and sin no more» to but a few; — He shares money with the poor but establishes no long - term aid; — He touches lepers; He converses with seeking Pharisees; He debates with other Pharisees; He lives with Samaritan outcasts for two days; — He acknowledges the five «marriages» of the Samaritan woman as «marriages»... and then remarks about her current co-habitation... but then moves to higher priorities; — He seems so very focused on internal holiness and not on external holiness; — He violates the Sabbath; He says He is Lord of the Sabbath; He even says that the Sabbath was created to assist man, rather than man created to serve the Sabbath... thus turning the entire concept of the Law into one of assistance rather than being chained to obedience; — He insists on impartiality in the way we bless others, even if we call them «evil» or «
good».
In Sr Andrea's article «Real
Healing for Real Grief», I was encouraged to read about the
good works of those

The courageous work of pro-life groups in vigils
at abortion clinics, of street pastors working with clubbers
at night - time in city centres, of those offering prayer ministry for
healing in shopping centres, of street evangelisers such as the St Patrick's group in Soho - all these examples need to be
better known, and imitated.1 Then there's the output of media groups working through radio, TV, internet sites, blogs and video teaching programmes, such as Catholic Evangelisation Services; these too, while offering an independent type of Christian teaching, provide an important stimulus to on - the - ground evangelising.
At the same time, our distinctly Christian codes of personal ethics do not reveal the only meanings in MASH, and, as Christians, we also have to be sensitive and aware of the wider cultural meanings, meanings in the programs, meanings that may or may not also be Christian — the anti-war message, the compassion, the community, the
healing, and, of course, the humor — and celebrate, criticize and enjoy them as
well.
Had she gotten «

When Jesus realized that most people were rejecting his message, even those who came out to see his signs, he became aware that the

In our training programs for community clergymen
at the Pennsylvania Hospital Community Mental Health Center we have been interested in mutual exchange: (1) We believe that psychiatry and its allied professions can help the clergyman do a
better job with his
healing ministry (
at the bottom of the cliff)(2) We believe clergymen have something unique to contribute to psychiatry in the whole business of prevention (building fences

We have worked very hard over the last fifteen or twenty years to establish a

As Jesus» action

The demonstration they give of its authenticity and validity as

The facts were, chiefly, these: Jesus of Nazareth, a man anointed by the Spirit and divinely accredited by mighty works, who went about doing
good, and
healing all those who were oppressed by the devil (for God was with him), who was put to death by the blind and misguided authorities, religious and civil,
at Jerusalem, where he was crucified — all this is preliminary and descriptive, as identifying him, like the central clauses in the Apostles» Creed.
I am not in need of «
healing»
at present, (though I have developed an annoying ringing in my ears) and I find no reason to depend on God because those who claim to depend on God are no
better off than I am.
Solzhenitsyn not only dissects these propensities; he also provides a way out» an «ascent from ideology,» in Mahoney's words, that aims
at healing the human soul by recovering the God «given natural order of things as
well as the spiritual basis of political freedom.
So I suppose that on Ascension Day, I
best quit standing here staring
at the bottoms of your feet, Jesus, and instead get to work — feeding, fellowshipping,

Then,
at a time when I seemed to be rather rapidly losing ground, I heard some things that gave me interest enough in mental
healing to make me try it; I had no great hope of getting any
good from it — it was a chance I tried, partly because my thought was interested by the new possibility it seemed to open, partly because it was the only chance I then could see.
Did you only return to university once you were
well or did you do your

Facing a life of chronic illness I made a conscious decision to take responsibility for my body and my illness; rather than waiting and expecting doctors and their medicine to pick me up and make me feel
better, I instead began to look
at things that I could do myself to help my body to
heal and live the
best life that it can.

Big in your list I can agree that all these players would improve us, but let's look
at our CB At the moment Kos, top player but is struggling with a inj which may or may not heal, at the moment he isn't match fit so not up to his own high standard, so needs help or a defender of his quality so he can go and recover properly So then we have Mert, too slow and no longer good enough, I'm not sure if he's even good enough for 3 rd choice CB, too slow, poor on the air for his size and not brave enough, he's lasted this long due to Kos he needs a Top class CB just to allow him to play against average teams Ok now Reid not top class we can all agree so we couldn't really play him with MERT as he isn't Kos quality so can't cover merits deficiencys He could be ok with Kos but Kos is struggling So is Reid what we need???? And finally Wenger if he has all 3 fit will still play Kos / Mert first choice Oh and God forbid we play MERT / Reid against the top teams like Chels / city / utd / Southampton Chuckle chuck

also since montreal when gibbs got injured he was given plenty of time to
heal properly and not being rushed that, s why i think his injury record has got
better with time, like wenger said we are lucky to have them both and kieran is an important squad player due to his versatility and will have a big part to play in the 2nd part of the season, also he is still young and will continue to improve learning from montreal and in the not too distant future he will be our first choice for many years to come, all he needs to do is to keep
at it and be patient his time will come!!
