You can't just not sign
good big leaguers because you think someone in the minors might be good someday, that's really not conducive to winning baseball games... ever.
I was using the possibility of signing him as an example of a) the Braves intentions of being competitive this season and b) the logic (or lack of, in my opinion) of not signing good MLB players because you have a guy in Double - A who might be
a good big leaguer someday.
