I have found that recipes for really
good cakey brownies are hard to come by, so I became a woman on a mission.
Not exact matches
Growing up on my Grandmother's brownies, I learned that a
good brownie should be dense, fudgy and soft; not light,
cakey and dry.
The other thing I did was let the dough sit overnight because I ran out of time to bake them after mixing — would that have made them
cakier as
well?
This bread has a lovely colour, crust and texture and is definitely breadier rather than
cakier, which is what I look for in a banana - themed baked
good.
Taste Test Quite a heavy,
cakey texture, a nice crunch on the outside,

THE FOOD So far I have tried the baguettes (they rival the Gluten Free Baking and Living ones — very

If you're a baker, you know that pumpkin cookies that claim to be «chewy,» but are made with pumpkin puree are
good but more
cakey.
They've ALWAYS come out very moist and

Like I said above, the bars come out pretty
cakey but also really dense in the sense that they seem to be whole - grain yet,
well, they're totally grain - free.
It has a dense,

well with fruit flavors or chocolate.

good rise, which gives them a

When I previously made it using a regular sized loaf tin I felt it was a little gummy in the centre, don't get me wrong it still tasted really

These truffles have a kind of moist

well with the white chocolate coating & the little almond on top gives a little bit of crunch too!

The fudginess really works
well in these brownies, I imagine the cookies would be on the
cakey side?
Now I did this recipe with no gelatin, added 1 egg, and creamed the butter, sugar, and maple syrup in a kitchen aid mixer like a traditional CCC recipe, substituted BP for the BS, plus added 1 1/2 T more of each flours to make up for the added moisture from the egg, turned out
good, a little more
cakey and no grittiness at all.
The texture came out maybe a little
cakier but was still very
good!
Makeup Used: No foundation Powder: Mannequin Powder (not a
good idea to use this powder without foundation, as you can see, the skin makeup looks really
cakey and uneven...) It is never a
good idea to misuse powders, a
cakey makeup look will not make your skin look
better.
I spray this before I apply my foundation and then after I apply it as
well as my concealer, and I find that it helps everything not look too
cakey if it does, and also helps set everything into place.
I love that these are creamy and does not emphasize pores, imperfections or look
cakey on me and they covers up blemishes really
well too.
best thing about it is that is very light weight, it does nt feel heavy or
cakey.
It's a
good medium / full coverage foundation, and is also buildable without looking
cakey.
If the under eye area is on the drier side then you might need a really
good moisturiser, as I believe, this one will look
cakey otherwise.
I'm not sure it does any tone - correcting, but it's a
good colour match if you're translucent like me — it mattifies without making my make - up look
cakey, or my skin orange.
