Good featurette; pity the movie didn't spend more time on actually exploring magic inside the confines of its story as nicely as this featurette does.
«The Boys of D - Tent» is
a good featurette (10:40) which details what making the film was like, with the focus on the young, untrained cast.
A few extras are fairly disposable, including the star's severely disappointing commentary, but the worthwhile deleted scenes, trailer, and two
good featurettes add value, as do a few minor touches in design and packaging.
One of
the best featurettes offered is each of the cast members attempting to trace the path their characters have taken in the last 6 films in 60 seconds or less.
The Collective (13:35)--
Better featurette featuring a little more depth from Kristin Stewart and Nicholas Hoult.
One is devoted solely to Lynn Shaye and her performance, and it's
the best featurette of the bunch.

This is mildly interesting, but as Drew isn't remotely as
good - looking as Tom Cruise, and is far too energetic to surely be healthy, this is really a view - once only type
featurette.

featurette are enough to qualify this as a satisfying release of a substantial film.
Disc two includes nearly six hours of additional material including a 196 - minute making - of documentary, entitled Strength and Honor: Creating the World of Gladiator, and as if this was not exhaustive enough more behind the scenes technical information is provided in the five - part Image and Design section which includes
featurettes on sets, costumes, and weapons as
well as extensive photo galleries.
While the film only runs 76 minutes, the Blu - ray includes an interview with Laudenbech and Making Of
featurette, as
well as a selection of the filmmaker's prior short films.
The CGI was
good especially for the Vamps, the weapon and vehicle design was nice (There is a 10 min
featurette on the DVD for these, the bikes looking a cross between Tron / Akira styles and Darth Maul's speeder!)
Its chief supplemental features consist of a feature - length audio commentary track with director Gauger and a seven - minute behind - the - scenes
featurette which includes brief interview snippets with cast and crew, as
well as some audition tape footage.
EXTRAS: The Blu - ray release includes six
featurettes on the film's main characters, director Ron Howard and location shooting, as
well as some deleted scenes.
Now two new
featurettes dive into the fascination that Disney himself had with the innovations of the future, and the ideas he had in order to make civilization more efficient, not to mention the narrative in the film as
