Visit Italy and watch a Serie A game, experience the whole Italian football culture, the pleasant weather, good food and world class football.

Where people once lined up to watch some of Europe's best football, queues now form for food, medicine, and clothing.

As I've written about before (most recently in a Houston Chronicle op - ed), here in Houston ISD we have one of the nation's most advanced central kitchens for the preparation of school food: a state - of - the - art, $ 51 million facility that takes up 15 - acres, with 95,000 square feet devoted to baking, «cook / chill» and cold food preparation, as well as football - field - sized freezer and dry storage areas.

For the next 42 hours we biked, tie - dyed, saw a Godspell performance from a traveling youth group, ate 5 square meals (very good for cafeteria food), sang karaoke, shot arrows at the archery range, played ultimate frisbee and flag football, went swimming and enjoyed games night with the other bloggers and their children.

We headed up to Lake Burton with Brian's family for a few days and had such a wonderful time relaxing, watching all the football games and eating (too much) good food!

And as for the beer vs. wine tailgate debate, some football foods just taste better with something a little fruity and non-carbonated, and the flavors in these sliders will blow you away if you pair them with Gallo's Merlot or Cabernet (my personal fave.)

not only has school started again but most importantly its college football time!!!! Anyone that knows me knows I love a good tailgate and football game with friends, food and drinks....
