I drink alpro as it works for me and stuff I know it's
not as
good as homemade but I don't have money to buy loads of
good nuts: / I love
nuts though so I do eat them just
not as homemade milk!
That's
not to say that all your friends have to be health
nuts, lots of mine are the polar opposite and we still have the
best time together, but finding some people to share your new culinary experiments with is really great.

best nut alternative would be (e.g. macadamia, brazil, almond etc) for this recipe as
well as others like the carbonara from your book.
When the «end» doesn't come,
well, these
nuts will just say something like «God spared us» or «There must have been a miscalculation» or some such claptrap.
Hi Heidi, I find that
nut butters work so much
better in a food processor as the Vitamix doesn't create that smooth and creamy texture, and often need a form of liquid to function too.
I did
nt put
nut butter or almond milk because i cant do
nuts but raw milk and chia and flax seeds and it was delicious I follow many health blogs like yours but your recipes are certainly the
best!
My favourite
nut butter is almond butter and I include so many other
nuts into my recipes so don't really feel the need for peanuts as
well as they aren't very high in nutrients.
I used raw
nuts and it seemed to work really
well, I love the flavour and preferred it to the time that I tried roasting them — I also found that the texture wasn't as smooth with roasted
nuts, but everyone is different!
I've
not tried this recipe with other
nuts before but I imagine pecans or hazelnuts should work
well too x
(Same for the almond milk) Wouldn't using the soaked water be
better since it would contain all the nutrients from the
nuts?
You could try using pumpkin seed or sunflower seed butter to replace the
nut butter but sadly I haven't tried a
good enough substitute for the cashew
nuts!
This type of
nut and seed bread is so popular at the moment and seems to be popping up on blogs everywhere so I'm sure you'll have come across similar versions on places like Green Kitchen Stories, Oh She Glows or My New Roots (three of the
best blogs ever) as
well as lots of paleo versions using eggs
not psyllium.
I would think it would, as it shouldn't really be harder for the processor that raw
nut bars although I think definitely
better to divide the quantities.
I often find that pumpkin or sunflower seeds work
well as a substitute for
nuts but I haven't tried it with this recipe before so I'm

nuts could work really
well, however they may
not be as soft and sweet as the original recipe.

better if you're
not allergic as they're creamier and would be more similar to cashews.

nut free alternatives to many of your recipes as my substitutions don't always work out as
well as I think they could:)
I tried making it while living in Kenya (
good luck finding
nut butters there) but did
not have much success (the equipment is also
not that great).

well, do you think it works to use the blender for making stuff like energy balls and

I prefer
not baking
nuts, because of their
good fats becoming bad fats with the heat... I have another question, I want to buy a
good processor, Magimix seems to be the
best option... but it also slices very thin?
If you are choosing to bake everyday then eating
well is going to be pretty expensive as buying lots of dates,
nuts and cacao really adds up, but traditional baking isn't that cheap either.
I haven't tried using another
nut in these before but I imagine that almonds or walnuts should work really
well too x
