a good pair of black flats for awhile, and I love ankle straps!

Over the course
of the collaboration, I'll be given the opportunity to add a few items to my closet and, while I feel like I should pick something classic (like a
good leather satchel or a
pair of black Ferragamo Varina
flats), I really want to branch out and pick a few unexpected statement pieces like the «Jessica» canteen crossbody from Tory Burch.
Well, I decided to take the pewter
pair out for a spin; I love how they look with
black and burgundy, and I decided that I don't need every single
pair of shoes to match every other item in my closet (I already have red
flats and green
flats that definitely don't match everything).
I've worn them everywhere from nights out with a
pair of heels to an interview with a
good black flat and with adidas for errands around town.
Taking ankle boots, a
good pair of cross trainers and a
pair of black flats comfy for day or evening.
As
well as my sturdy walking shoes I found a little
pair of black ballet
flats to be very useful around hotels.
I'd say a
good pair of comfortable,
flattering black pants.
To hide larger arms, midsections, or hips, choose a tailored
black blazer, a
black silky button - down, or a
well - fitting
black flat - sweater and show off your great legs with a
pair of printed pants, colored jeans, or a bold skirt.
I'm thinking a
pair of black flat with look
good with the skirt but I don't own any right now.
My favorite look from the show: an absolutely basic
black sweater with rolled up sleeves and a
well - fitted
pair of black pants, a universally
flattering outfit.

So I try to buy
good quality shoes in neutral colors that will last a long time — basically, I have brown and
black of each type
of shoe I regularly wear, plus one
pair of grey boots, some silver
flat gladiator sandals, and the shoes I wore for my wedding.
The
black velvet skirt goes
well with a white lace shirt and a
pair of leopard printed
flat shoes.
