I grew to love this pattern of daily
prayer, and it managed to change my

So this is true thing happening to many who suffer unexplainable illnesses or sufferings which could look like mental illness that comes and goes as pleased...
Andrew, I understand what you're saying completely because I was a christian for the first half of my
life, and I had the same opinion about
prayer and emotional
well - being.
Our
prayers are not to alter the will of a sovereign God who remains forever unchangeable, but instead,
prayer molds our disfigured and malleable wills to be like His perfect will, as
well as operating as a means of revealing His character to us through a personal interaction with His word that has been intricately meshed together with our
lives.
The more we listen to God, and the more we learn about how he does answer our
prayers and guide our
lives, we learn more about what to ask for, how to use his gifts, and how to trust him through
good or bad times.
I have to find my own rhythm, and when I find it I know how to fit my
prayer life in and how to fit in my devotional time as
well as how to fit in bedtime stories.

Aw there was no need for them to pray that
prayer because sinful
living has its own consequences we creat the hurt and pain on ourselves when we chose to

Christians might be
better served looking to Christ for an example and examining their own
lives for what their faith calls sin, rather than wasting time chasing the sin of others, even if only in

Personally i think those specific
prayers are a distraction most of the times we pray these
prayers because its what we think we need and often thats not the case.The
better way is to just trust the holy spirit let him lead i think we miss the awesomeness of doing it Gods way its easy not difficult.The struggle is difficult when we are walking by the flesh and trying to do it our way.When i got to the point where i said to the God i am not going to do it my way anymore and i submit to you because know whats

none of these
prayers are dangerous, for example if you pray to become like jesus, and god downgrades your
life and you lose your house and car etc, this is
good, as God is happier with those who don't value the material things in this temporary world, and your only going to achieve heaven with Gods happiness

I am shocked by the Christian teachings that instruct people specifically «how» to study God's Word in the «right» way — «how much time to spend» praying and studying the Bible — «how» to come to the «right» interpretation of each Scripture verse / passage (guided by them — tying the hands of God and Jesus» Holy Spirit, and ignoring that God's Word is
living and active...)-- insistence that increased Bible study,
prayer and intersession, by their sheer weight, automatically make us closer to being
better Christians — closer to perfection and more pleasing to our Lord and Savior.
