Now a transient place full of hipsters, bond traders, and actors, as
well as actors and hipsters who are the children of bond traders, all searching for an «authentic» place to replace the Midwestern suburbs and rural towns they came to Brooklyn to escape, Brooklyn for me will always be Flatbush Avenue and Rudy Giuliani, Bernie (Goetz, not Madoff), and Ed Koch, block parties, radios murmuring Yankees
games on back porches (all of us too poor to afford air conditioning, which kept us outside in that great urbanist semi-public
space), the blackout of 1977 and the blizzard of 1995, Mickey Rivers and Bucky Dent, not to mention the wild cast of characters appearing in the Daily News, a paper that practically taught me to read.

good wingers especially against teams who will sit back is essential in stretching the

space for our 2 maestros ozil n santi.
we have no cover for CB at all then, Chambers needs to sit on the bench and be healthy for covering RB and CB as much as i want to see what hes like as a DM its too high of a risk to play him there atm, I'd def go for bellerin for RB though hes so fast and has tremendous technical ability, One person i think wenger should of taken to dortmund is diaby just incase hes needed would be nice for diaby to get a
good 60 min
game but i do nt think hes ready for CL just yet since he hasnt even featured in the PL yet but then again no harm in taking him since hes been linking up with bellerin pretty
well in the U21's we must remember we have some really

space giving to our players and we were scattered all over the place with no vision or leader ship too goals in the
space of 3 minuets ok the first goal was a fluke but come on the second one???? and thats all what it takes to loose a match many times this season we cant play when the opposition seats in our face we have no cohesion or understanding we crumble away we need to start the
game together as a unit a compact unit

good in tight

good when the opposition closes us down, our players like
space and if you watched the
game Spuds when they lost the ball they got it back in seconds working together as a team, that's what you have to do to stop
good teams play like we did at Chelsea first half of the season,

After seeing a couple of
games where he featured and also the one for england he's got it all for me... 1) He has the physical ability to offer the kind of
game that our Giroud offers (back to the net: deflecting, relaying passes and 1 - 2 touches) but also 2) Pace, mobility and technical agility to offer so much more: dribbling past opponents (creating
space), running / turning over defences either to lay down the killing pass to a
better placed player or finishing a through ball from our over talented midfield and all that with speed and 3) Tactical awareness, willingness to defend players if asked (like the
game Man U-Real Madrid in the CL) and could provide support not only in the air on corners!!
Sell him as he wont get the
game time with us which im not sure if its

space for others.
When Ramsey is playing
well and he gets back to defend then I think we see more out of Ozil and Xhaka, I thought Ozil played
better at the end of the season than in the middle when the team imploded and that I do remember seeing Ramsey getting back more than he did in pre season Chelsea
game, along with the extra CB to help win the ball back, it has meant Ozil can focus more on finding
space ready for when his team mates have won the ball back.
Welbeck can come
good at times during an important
game, sometimes it's accidental, and sometimes he opens
space up for others by dragging players towards him.

well, but in a
game like that where you have to stretch the opposition to create
space by getting the ball out wide, Ramsey wasn't the man.
Football is a team sport, Wilshere may perform
well on a personal level but the team suffers as a whole, we play
better more fluid when he's on the bench he blocks
space for Ozil and Ramsey to perform, last season Ramsey's
best performances were when Jack wasn't in the starting 11 we won
games not draws and losses

I hope you arsenal fans are watching the tottenham
game i will bet none of you things any of manaco players are world class what they have is a
good number ten an wingers who talkes on defender.players who move around not standing an waiting for the ball this is not about world class it's about utilizing
space
I thought people here were debating about two or three seasons back why he should be our top striker. When I thought the Monaco match was the icing on the cake to show how average he was it seems just like Wenger we» will never learn our lesson. Now people our okay with him being a super sub which is debatable.Giroud was a super sub in
games last season because he wasn't played when he was supposed to.He's not your ideal super sub because he very hardly creates but rather requires people to create for him. Most of the time super subs are the one's who tend to create the chances and open up
spaces in the opposition defence.West ham are ready to pay and hence we should demand more from them.We can then use the money from his sale on far
better players.Given the same seasons, time and chances a lot of average strikers can do
better than what he did. This is because Arsenal create a lot of chances and it just needs someone who can finish.Goodbye!.
And i read some people hating on ramsey, I think he had a very
good game today he was making our
game very fluid by finding little pocket of
spaces and which also gave mesut more room to operate.
Even when Sanogo doesn't score he is
better, we start defending from up top when he is on and attack is more fluid; I know ppl will point to d palace

space and Giroud wasn't exactly
better when he came on.
«It is something I will definitely learn and get
better at but if I can create more
space for other players to come into the
game, that is important as
well.
I still don't understand people's obsession with boxing players in to a specific role... The whole «true DM» is a dying breed, even Coquelin is arguably something else considering the advanced positions he takes up often in front of Santi and takes major risks in winning the ball back for us... IMO, the reason Coquelin has had such a successful integration into the first team is that he focussed incredibly hard on the basics of his role first and foremost before adding other elements to his
game (long - balls, driving runs into
space, more aggressive ball movement in general) it's not rocket science to tell a player to curb the attacking side of their
game and focus primarily on defence before attack... Nor is it that hard to see that playing in a midfield pairing with either Ramsey or Cazorla is going to be different as
well.
I hope Ramsey does play
well but the truth is, he can not spread passes the way Cazorla does, he can not hold the ball
well in tight
spaces, time and time he has been given chances to do that but the result has been the same, remember the West ham
game earlier this season, we were without bite and toothless, I do hope he proves me wrong this time.
Some
games he will be
better suited to wide play — i.e.
games when we have less
space to operate with.
i am
well impressed with Arsenal so far but the real
game is about to start no more softly softly approach with plenty of
space so no one gets injured from both sides (which our boys love)
if you watch arsenal place I see so much
space and no runs no runs at all only when in the box if you watch Leicester they are always makeing runs all over the place that's how you score goals against a team like Southampton they controlled the
game it was not unlucky just like chelsea can do control the
game and won arsenal players don't believe they can win the title the players in that team play without heart you know why because Im sure wenger tells them becareful we don't need anymore Injurys what kind of mentality is that also I will pick out Ramsey he is playing like a player who is leaveing the club he and flamini just don't work Ramsey is not playing
good at all wenger can blame make excuses but truth is he is the manager he make the tactics and he gets it wrong all the time giroud has no pace none bench him against some teams and play pure pace make runs ox Walcott but they don't Walcott has lost it his pace has gone its clear or he fears I jury how if a player is fit put your all in forget injury if you get Injured then so be it but if your fit and your Walcott run put yourself about wenger should leave because he.
Our wingbacks getting upfield and crossing seemed pointless (crossing actually getting
better), high balls up field seemed pointless and sanchez positioning on the counters was also pointless; Sanchez got the benefit of more
space because besiktas was pushing forward for an equaliser in the second half, however we will not have the same opportunities n other
games, i strongly feel he would have a joy ride on the leftside of our attack, with sanago or a new signing like a welbeck as the focal point.
Granite Xhaka saved us last night, i'm not a great fan of Xhaka but i thought the
game changed as soon as he come on, on Wilshere i have been his biggest supporter but last night he let me down badly, he made no
space for himself he was just out for the fresh air, i thought Sead had a lousy
game to even do he scored, it was a sad night for Arsenal supporters and football to watch that, there were plenty of alarms raised when we played Ostersunds FK in the first leg in the second half, AW should of known
better to prepare his team and should get off his ass and shout a bit from the side line like all passionate managers do when they send a message to their players
I reckon he could be in line to start a fair few
games next season as
well, especially those in which we expect to be dominant on the ball and face a deep lying and
well organised defensive unit looking to deny
space and frustrate the fluency of Arsenal.
It is my second 90 minutes [in the
space of a week], I am playing and over my injury so it is all
good and I am looking forward to the next
game.
I felt the reason why Wilshere had a
good game was because Besiktas allowed him too much
space.
Sure wenger was at the
game with the wrong team sheet we had no width with no one running into
space very static with not much creativity and then when they did they all were
well off target
He used to be the
best in the league, still is, but is blocked, like he has a break on, his
game and football education as a modern left back is ruined... He needs
space to o go up and down, start from the back, then create danger and additional threats... Anyhow, subject is Evans, indeed, and Luiz would have also been helpful.
Schemers have already found one way to do this and it has been a part of football for the
better part of 40 years: Spread players out and create a
game of players in
space, rather than a clustered mass of beef in cleats pounding away in close quarters.
