For
good surfable waves, swells need to come from the North and Northwest direction.

Langosta Beach, located just south of Tamarindo and is another
good beach break with some
surfable reefs.
The wave is
surfable with swell from the South and Southwest,
best with swell from the South.
There is also a small
surfable point - reef break (below) can get very
good but short waves... very inconsistant though.
They rarely get
good and are tough to access, although Mesa Lane (called «The Pendulum» back in the day) can occasionally provide some
surfable waves in the fall, winter and spring on an incoming tide.
The bay in Montezuma itself is only is
surfable when it's HUGE and a
good south swell.

surfable with waist to shoulder high waves and the occasional head high freak set.
