I aim
for soup at least three
times a day at meals, which means we're all getting around a cup of stock in, as
well as a cup of plain stock before and between meals
for 3 - 4 more cups a day.
Chops are lean and wouldn't have a very
good texture if stewed
for a long period of
time — something like lamb shoulder would be a
better addition to a
soup because its connective tissue would break down and add richness to the
soup.

time I used the food processor after cooking the asparagus and onion, then after adding the milk I ran the immersion blender through the
soup for good measure.
Then I add in strips of kale, cook
for however much
time I've got at least half hour but an hour is
better... and voila... super cheater white bean (very creamy)

soup it's either because I have fresh vegetables that need to be used up before they wilt and go bad — or — I'm too busy to make a fancier meal that day and just want a one pot wonder to fill me up with

So I thought this would be a
good time to post a
soup recipe — most people love a
good bowl of
soup in the winter and this is so
good for you.
In celebration of making wontons
for the first
time, we finally cooked our own veggie broth as
well, and this
soup came out just wonderfully — the gentle broth complimented the spicy salty wontons, and the sweet new crop cabbage added a nice crunch.

Before making this recipe I stuck to winter squashes

time of year, will be much cheaper and also keep you eating seasonally which is always a
good thing.
As with all chili and

best when prepared the night before or has
time to sit before serving

Immediately after tasting it
for the first
time I ran to Matt (
well carefully speed - walked), spoon in hand, telling him to stop what he was doing and try this
soup.
It wasn't until I traveled to Thailand and tasted tom yum
soup for the first
time that I realized how
well spicy and sour flavors work together.
I settled
for a roasted parsnip
soup (I will post that recipe another
time), a roasted brussel sprout, quinoa, cranberry and almond salad (I used this recipe as a guide) AND a mushroom bourguignon... oh it was
good, a rich, smooth and silky «gravy» just like the photos imply!
It was a nice stretch and ingredient zig - zag
for a long -
time cook on the verge of crushing kitchen boredom, and several really tasty and unique dishes came out of it (like this
soup, which is crazy
good, and just crazy in general, lol).

i added a bit of oil olive to the dough and subbed pecans as i didn't have walnuts and used 1/2 bread flour and doubled the recipe as i wanted a super mega size loaf, going to use it
